Disney fucks up everything. I loved Nickelodeon's Doug when I was growing up, I used to be cranky every day except Sundays, when Doug was on. Then I heard Billy West was was leaving Doug and the show was going to be passed on to Disney. I thought "Darn. Well, Disney's version can't be that bad. After all it is Doug." And man was I wrong. Doug's replacement voice was TOO high and most of the episodes were really, really boring and stupid. Thanks Disney, for raping my childhood :'(

I don't really like Doug, but from what I heard just now, this version of the theme is better than Nickelodeon's. Besides, I grew up with Disney's Doug, anyways. The musical style switched from a cappella to an orchestrated style (meaning that a new theme song was made), though cues from the a cappella style were taken. Doug was also voiced by McHugh now and Roger by Phillips, who was already the voice of various other characters, due to West refusing to return because of payment conflicts with Disney.

It's rediculous how much hate Disney's Doug receives. Of course it's not as good as Nickelodeon's Doug. NOTHING is. But Nickelodeon abandoned/cancelled it before its time and Disney realized that there was still gas left in the tank for this series, bought the rights, advanced the characters one year, and ran with it. It's a good quality show imo.
