Great film. I loved that whole scene. His acting is remarkable. The shots, and editing are perfect. I love the sllent moments where she's outside spinning the hot coal and while he's looking at her out the window. I just saw the British film Atonement and this one scene is 100 times better!

She is making charcoal for the samavar (tea maker.) Charcoal is placed underneath the samavar to warm-up the water. Best tea on the planet.

Yes! Great iranian movies. Why don't we talk about those?! There was never a good story line to any of them! It's either the story of a poor guy wanting to get married to a rich girl, or some whore is saved by some guy. So please, stop the patriotic bullshit. Old persian movies were crap! Perhaps there are few good ones including Gheysar!

The Iranian movies in late 70s were going better off. In late 70s we had Sotedelan, Ghavznha, Dar emtedadeh Shab, Safareh Sang.
