I liked the choreographers use of dynamics and the dancer had great musicality. It was quirky and minimal on the tricks which is why most viewers disliked the dance. Most competition dancers are all about the tricks. This dance gets an A+ for original choreography for a competition style dance
Eh....It was okay.....I dont think that the choreagrapher should have put in Alaseconds if she didnt have them....I dont want to be mean and say your fat cause your not but how you danced at times was a bit awkward...but some parts I was thinkin to my self, Gosh girl, that was fierce! :-)

what's creepo is the fact that competitions encourage young girls to do dances like this. She's an incredible dancer but there is no reason to detract from that with a totally inappropriate song/outfit/choreography for her age.
I've been a teacher for 20 years of all kinds of dance, and work with youth in all kinds of environments. This really is not age appropriate, it's a lot more like a burlesque dance with a lot of great technique. Just because it has become somewhat the standard doesn't make it appropriate or right. She did a great job with the choreography she was given, but it is very mature content for a young girl. It's a shame because it distracts from her talent - so many other choices could be made.

Very Good Solo!!! Bravo! i did not think it was slutty and yes just a little sloppy, but thats OK! your so young! um yeah that was purdy sloppy and messily done job. she was dancing like a slut and the costume was slutty thos didnt go with the dance. she is really bad. dont choreograph too hard of stuff , she was falling out of her turns and such. ive seen myself do better drunk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she hopefully is losing weight : /

@dancergrly13 the more experience you get on stage, the easier... For me it's pretty easy in a group, but I did my first solo ever and blanked out, I remember none of it. :P But apparently I still did well. It's adrenaline :D
Your dancing is great, but watch the way you make faces while you dance. I like that you get into it, but it also kind of bugs me.

Don't be so hard on her when she has clearly worked hard to pull off a mature dance. This is a "performance." She's playing a role and doing a brilliant job of it too. I saw her perform this and her facials were totally appropriate.

everybody who is criticizing this girl or any other young dancer JUST STOP!!! Theres no reason to do it. These kids are just doing something that they really enjoy and thats dancing and they all an amazing job.
Jenna you did an excellent job I wish I can see you perform in person one day!

this isn't ballet -_____- and if you've never gone to a dance comp. then you shouldn't be talking...at comp. there's a lot of dancing like this with young girls...and apperently you're the only one bothered by it because the judges seem to think it's perfectly fine

i dont post my videos on youtube excuse me, and i have no reason to have to prove to you that ive been dancing for 14 years at sells broadway dance center and been in competitions like onstage ny, tremaine, IDC, show stoppers, and who are you to even talk are you even a fricken dancer?? and why was weight brought up when you don't even know anything about me or what i look like. and im not calling her a slut, im saying its sad the way that these girls are dancing like sluts not that they are.

yes there is the competitions hand out judges award and it is called class act, my studio got it in the onstage ny competition and at IDC. and once again about the weight, YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I LOOK LIKE! you are just trying to insult me anyway you can and its pathetic.

She's a great dancer but sexualizing children so young is really bad...I mean, I feel like that choreography is kind of demeaning to her. It's sad that she's dancing like a vegas showgirl at age 11.

You are very rude!!!!! And there DEFINITELY is such such a thing as age appropriate!!!!!!!! All the kids and teachers at my dancers studio would think this is inappropriate. ( Now, please don't take offense Jenna, everyone's dance studio has there own style, and you can't help the choreography given, and you are an AMAZING dancer!) And i think it is VERY rude of you to call someone you don't even know fat!!!!!

thank you for the compliment's!!! and if you feel it's inappropriate thats fine, like you said just not your style. but i scored great all year at 5 different comp's with this solo not once did a judges score card say anything like it was inappropriate, it was more like love the personallity. and i called someone fat? or that was to someone else? i know i didnt lol just seems like you meant that to me lol

When you get really really good at something like you are with dancing and are really beautiful there are always people who get jealous and try bring you down. Look at all the famous stars and every single one of them has people who say bad things.
But for every hater there are 10 more who love what you do so try and spend your energy on the ones who love you not the ones who dont :) What you focus on grows and what you ignore disappears:)

more like some people state the obvious. this isn't the right way at a dance competition that a 11 year old girl needs to be representing herself. i understand it has been a trend lately for young girls at competition to dance like this, however it does not make it ok, or cute. despite the fact that the girls a lot of times, like this one have talent. yes im a dancer don't assume i have no idea what im talking about because i know full well.

Don't be so hard on her when she has clearly worked hard to pull off a mature dance. This is a "performance." She's playing a role and doing a brilliant job of it too. I saw her perform this and her facials were totally appropriate.

that does not mean that she has to act like she is older than she is. i've been to plenty of competitions where girls that do solos like this in her age group get trash talked about because at this age they should still be doing cute age appropriate dances not slutty ones.
