it's mostly agreed that education in science (as well as in math) is so essensial for development. and this notion should be equally distributed throughout all etnicities in states in order to have all those etnicities have an equal chance to develop.

@dekaveritas Wrong! Sometimes people are born for failure. Its not an easy pill to swallow nor is it the most loving and caring position to take, but its true.
and besides the system your advocating (give more money to failing schools) has been done time and time again... and has failed time and time again... Think with your brain and not with your heart. The world will then become alot more clear and easy to understand...

why does she keep saying 'underrepresented minorities'? the whole sense that all groups are going to be equally represented in all fields is completely flawed.
Some groups just dont get into science in large number, some get very heavilly into science.
diversity is so overrated. I mean if it happens for other reasons, fine but to aim for it is rather absurd. Hire for ability and performance, let the ethnic chips fall where they may! I just had to throw some anti p-c thing in there xD

@midnight9wanderer Yes its a hard pill to swallow but some races, tribes, nations, etc. Are dumber then other ones. As whole of course not indivuals.
