@barfmeoutdude they bolted right up the only difference in the iroc wheels vs the vette wheels for the '85 is the offset of the front iroc wheels,they stick out a little so I put them in the rear. but the rear iroc rims are the same size and offset as the vette rims.

@SmallTownK1d its a smallblock 400 bored .030 to a 406 , its out of a 72 3/4 ton blazer , only a 2 bolt but i have never had any issue with any 2 bolt build as long as you are not building an all out race car. this is my daily driver, it runs low 13s and I still have plenty to do to it.

@RWDtech actualy they are the same size the only difference is the offset... the rear iroc wheels are the same offset as the vette wheels just the front are different...they were only temporary anyway. has 17" gs wheels on it now.....and yes they fry just as good as the 16s

@CONT4M1NAT3D aparently you have never done a burn out with a car with some real power, if you simply stomp on it from a dead stop with this car you will instantly be doing a donut , if you drag the brake just a little it keeps the car under control until you hit 2nd gear then you let off the brake and ride it out as long as you want... btw i would love to smoke your 86 iroc.

@TANK5539 westers garage did the chip wich is a custom burn for the engine I built wich is a small block 400 bored to a 406 (.030) w/ 202 heads and many other mods(still more to do though). I simply called westers and told them everything I had done to the motor and they burned a chip specificly for my motor,westers posted this vid.very easy instal (20 min) computer is mounted under pass. side dash , chip is under small cover on top of ecm w/ 2 screws and 2 lock tabs,ALWAYS disconnect batt.first

Its well known that the Vettes built in the 80s were some of the worst ever built. Under powered and always in the shop. They are pale compared to the late 90s and up.

yes they are off an 89 IROC , they are only temporary , will eventualy be replaced with grandsport wheels.

huge difference in driveability, this car wouldnt even idle before because of the bigger engine and all the mods, but after the chip it feels almost stock the drive around and cruise , but if you give it much more than a little bit of gas it wakes right up and screems

in my vette i got a problem, once start getting hot it makes presure in the radiator hose, but when got cold is not, i take off the termostat but is the same, if some body can help me thanks

that engine would really wake up with a lil help from tpis, an intake and the right cam and fuel injectors and it would likely jump down in low 12's @115, those intakes just don't breath to well up in the higher revs

No this motor is definately NOT stock.lower end is a small block 400 out of a 72 K20 Blazer bored .30 over to 406 cid. w/ a pair of 202 heads from a 75 K20 pickup (350 heads,w/steam holes for 400)

,CompCams cam and roller rockers. stock tpi intake is only temporary I plan on going with the holley stealthram intake.although as it sits it has no problems up to 5000 RPM,wich seems to be ok for now. trans is also still the stock 700R4 for now. NOTE:This car is a work in progress,still plenty to do.

If that is the stock TPI intake, then you are severely restricting the higher rpm performance of that 406...

I'd say put something like a TPiS Miniram, or converted LT1 intake on and you could perhaps rev higher than 4000 rpms...

thanx for all the comments i'm actualy the owner of the vette and just wanted to add the wheels are only temporary and will be replaced with 93grandsport wheels,plus they look alot better than the stock vette wheels,as for gears,stock 273s definately dont need any lower this thing is a tourqe monster,and the intake is sock for now,but i had to run 30lb injectors,but the chip made all the difference though,perfect drivability,comfortable to cruise nasty when u want to be,thanks again westers!

If your adding 93 GS rims you will be looking for quite a long time as they did not make any in 1993. You will have luck with 96 GS rims though.
