you can only hit a rev limiter for so long, if you just do it for a couple of seconds like in the video you'll be fine but if just do it all the time then yeah your gonna need to adjust the valves more often and eventually rebuild the top end... i work in a shop, i see stuff like this all the time

i do my own work, my play bike doesn't even have a limiter. the valves just float hahaha. i know when stuffs stressed though. the bike doesn't have enuff power to blow up. i look at my valves every 3 rides. fun to hear, not to work on haha

no lol. that's the rev limiter. rev limiter shuts then engine off real fast to bring the revs down. you could sit there foar 30 secs and hit thee limiter and it would be fine, will need an adjustment soon but...

im sick of ignorant people saying "op, valve clap" or "time to check ur valves"

@xKILLZONAx Actually that is the worst thing for valves ask me ill tell you replaced mine twice now and in the middle of another rebuild it dont always tear up the engine but it is way bad for the valves. The ride the rev to long you also risk sending your piston into your valves.

@swampthingyota sell your bike, and get a 2-stroke. honda recommends replacing valves every 20 hours.

it costs honda $3.83 to make a valve for a 250r. costs over $109 for the consumer. 4-strokes are moneymaking bullshit.

no he didnt. have you ever been to a motorcross race. they rev the fuck outta them for a while once the five second board is up. maybe a valve adjustment. but not a change.
