I think you did a professional job recording and letting us know just where the changes took place, this was a most informative undertaking, Cheers! I believe you achieved quiet a special sound using both the pickup and mic combo with the addition of a tasty reverb plugin. Again great job!
@FingersSoAwesome HI. It's not the best mic to record vocals, but it makes the job done. Check out some of my other videos. I did some cover song with a singer, using this microphone for the voice!
@QueenToKingOfSpades Hi. There is 2 version of the M1 a passive and an active one. I'm not sure, but I think you do need a preamp with the passive and not necessarily with the active, which has a higher output level.
However, I doesn't mean you can't use one with the active version. You can use a preamp to sculpt your sound and not necessarily to raise up the output level!
Hello I´ve been looking around for some kind of acoustic pickup and there L.R. Baggs came up before my eyes on thomann.de; how do they work if i but some effects on, like gain, overdrive etc.
Thanks for any type of answer and great playing there mate! :)
@SavantSvant I Svante, thanks for the comment. Unfortunately I can't help you regarding effects. I mainly use the LR Baggs for live gigs and the only effect I use with it is the mixer's reverb. However the M1 is a magnetic pick up so I guess it should respond well to gain & overdrive, even whawha:)It sounds better than a piezo system & with a condenser mic you risk larsen problems. If you're looking to electrified your acoustic, a soundhole pick up like the M1 is the best choice. Hope that helps :)
@BrunoBaudewyns Thanks for the quick answer friend! I will get myself on of those, think im gonna get L.R.Baggs M1 Active Soundhole Pickup from thomann.de. But I have one more question, is it hard to instal the endpin jack socket into the guitars body?
@BrunoBaudewyns Hi Bruno, an audio file would be greatly appreciated if you find the time. Could I ask you to record slaps to both the side and the top of the guitar? Best regards from Switzerland, Nico
nevermind my recent question, there's an answer just below my post:)

Well done! I'm interested in buying the M1 active and was wondering how it responds to deliberate slaps to the body (compared to an internal mic).
nicospahni 1 year ago
@nicospahni Hi. Off course it's not like a real condenser microphone in the guitar's body but for my purpose it responds well, not to "boomy".
I guess i could send you an audio file with some slap test ;)
Contact me if you're interested.

@BrunoBaudewyns Hi, how this pickup alone react with percussive elements on the body when you just knock the top and sides?
janklosowski 1 year ago
@janklosowski Hi, it's not like a real condenser mic in the body but for my purpose it's enough.
I did an audio file with some slap test for another youtuber. If you sent me a private message with your e-mail adress, I can send it to you.
