  • Well comfysockz you are getting the right start! My dad was a jazz musician and I started playing the piano at age 2 or something. He was bringing me home jazz albums all through my childhood that are now classics. Things like Chet Baker's first release. i listened to all the jazz greats. I was lucky. And I am at the other end--aged 63. Great songs last.

  • I hate Louis Armstrong's voice.

  • I'm 3 (three) years old and I love this guy! =D

  • god i miss nyc

  • Beautiful

  • Not that age matters.... but I lucked out when a teacher had me do a report on Satchmo when I was in the 4th grade. I've been in love with his music and most other Jazz ever since. 25 years later I must say I still come back to these classics over todays jazz.

  • Right now it's fall in New York and I currently live here. Fall is just a magical system...especially if you're in NYC :D

  • No need to state your age on these videos, just enjoy the music. and if you comment, comment on the song, not your age You end up looking like you're patting yourself on the back

  • When I come on these videos (that I LOVE btw) there's always that one kid who comments : I'm only (whatever age this kid is) and I listen to this.

  • I find it hard to believe that a better voice than this will ever be found!

what a great era for music.

  • @COMFYSOCKZ same here! im 12 ,turning 13 this month and i like some radio music but still none of it compares to this!! :) <33333

  • Jazz + Autumn = Heaven

  • Pops + Ella...resplendent artistry combined with a reverential style.

  • I love this!!!

  • Heaven's music

  • Now here's a song rendition that creates good memories no matter where you are or how old you are when you hear it. Two sublime American originals.

  • Now here's a song rendition that creates good memories no matter whaere you are or how old you are when you hear it. Two sublime American originals.

  • Louis Armstrong THE greatest jazzman ever to walk on the earth. nobody could sing nor play as good as he did. Not 50 years ago, not now. my first tape when i was 11 was of his songs. still cant get tired of him. never ever.

  • Oh be still my beating heart...I love it!

  • black ppl are so talented..

  • This is one of my favorite songs ever... And I'm 13! I know what true music is! Thank God!

  • @COMFYSOCKZ fuck outta here

  • What would life be is not for the beauty of such performances ?

  • I hope we don't lose this legacy of beauty.

  • buen dia alguien me puede decir como escucho este tema sin q se cargue el video?. tarda una eternidad!!

  • louis, ella, tommy flanagan and vernon duke..who could ask for anything more?

  • Listening to this on a warm summer evening, but I don't care. Yeah, it is kind of a shame that "the young" (I count myself among them) are pretty much abandoning this music for other stuff. But that's how it has gone for ages. People abandoned classical music much the same way. But it is still there, and so will timeless classics like this song survive in the hearts of those who do listen to this.

  • I absolutely adore this song. It's a lovely, relaxing tune and makes autumn more beautiful than it already is. Thank you for the upload.

  • does anyone know where i could get sheet music for this??!

  • I love this song.Thanks too much.

Gracias es maravilloso soñar mientras escucho esta canción.

  • maravilloso tanks for share whit us

  • this is the thing! Beautiful...

  • nothing can encompassed the beauty and clarity of ellas rendition of this song. i adore her craftsmanship and dedication to the music industry.

  • muinto loko

  • How is it Lady GaGa gets a gazillion views...yet this beautiful ballad gets not even a fraction of that? I adore this song....anything these two touched turned to gold....

  • @capitaldyme Yes, it seems amazing to me that the creme of the 20th century jazz scene is so forsaken in this barren and classless age that we live in. There seems to be a true bankruptcy of any sense of true musicality and composition especially among the young. Of course there are exceptions, but the trend is generally disheartening. We are losing out culture before our eyes and those coming behind us just don't care and are oblivious to what people struggled to create in an age before them.

  • @capitaldyme Unfortunately that's pop music for you. People who take the time to look for their music will find the real gems.

  • @capitaldyme What you said, it's mainly rhetorical, right?

  • @capitaldyme There are amazing things happen (sometimes). Watch this: Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga - The Lady Is A Tramp - YouTube.

  • @theLSJM That's true. Lady Gaga has made an amazing job in our POP/Contemporary culture as well as Ella and Louis did on that era too. If YouTube were there when Ella was alive, numbers would be quite different even for Adele. Things and people change as time passes by. But one truth: Ella and Louis will always be role model to all kind and types of musicians, ask Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett.

  • @capitaldyme Who cares if Lady Gaga gets a gazillion views, and if this song doesn't get as many views ? Getting more views won't make the music any better. If others people are happy listening to Gaga, well, good for them. We, listeners, only have to be happy to enjoy this beautiful masterpiece. Now, excuse me, I'm back to my little cloud listening to this heavenly music.

  • @capitaldyme because lady gaga dresses like crap and she produces crap and youth love crap.

  • @capitaldyme '' lady gaga'' is demonstrative of the degenerative state of the world we live in today with people of questionable behaviors running the music business, yes i said it Business, why would they play real music?

  • @imbrandnew89 Sad but true...The less talent an "artist" has, the easier they are to manipulate...

  • @capitaldyme I felt the same way when ragtime music was being ignored in favor of this song...

  • This song makes me miss the Autumn in New York. It is so Beautiful and romantic.

  • Nádherná skladba a dvojce Louis a Ella je nepřekonatelná....

  • Maravilhoso! Elegante e suave... encata, faz com que nos sinta bem.

  • Pops & Ella. Nothing else comes close.

Don't get me wrong, I love Frank, but come on.

  • THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST VERSION. No Else Has Done It Better!

  • I remeber listening to this on the record player in the 80s, I was just 9-11 years and my heart was mesmerized, some artists are so good they almost break your heat, if you see this try to hear peggy lee's version of "the folk who live on the hill"! That is an acheivement!
