They have clean vocalists for a reason, screamo is used more as an instrument, in that the lyrics aren't as important as the general sound of the screaming and how it compliments the music.

actually people like AILD and All that Remains have some pretty decent lyrics. And i find the more i listen to metal/metalcore/screamo etc. the more i can pick up on lyrics.

And screamo is more like TDWP. screamo is screaming/emo. Just cause something screams doesnt make it screamo. Must screaming stuff is metalcore/deathcore/hardcore etc. Anyways, end rant.

TDWP is post hardcore metalcore, but if you wanna go deeper id call them christcore which historically is heavily associated with emo due to they're common hair style(though that style has taken over metalcore reccently) and often straight edge MO they're lyrics are faith based but in general post hardcore is associated with emo due to vocal style(high pitched clean vocals and screamed vocals) and breakdowns

I have the haste the day DVD and some of the members swear in it, and they use sweet words, instead of beeping, to cover it up (like peanut butter sandwich! over the cuss word). So no, I don't think they'd judge you.
