they didn't go to a recording studio and record the songs, and lip sing while doing the scenes.. they sang the songs at the place where they shot the scene. im not sure if thats a very good explanation, but, if you look up some bonus features on youtube with Jim in it, there is one where it shows im singing with a mic at the place of the scene... lol :]
