Ironically, you are almost on empty. I have a dead stock 05 GTO and can get 25 mpg on the highway, even a high speeds. Not a fuel snob. I really dig the cam lope. Thinking about what to do to mine. Only 17,000 miles. You know, it seems like most of the GTO's that I see are low miles. Thinking about a swap to a GXP. More (I know, I know) practical.
@GlenSpCO I'm not sure what you're getting at here. Do fuel-efficient vehicles not ever run low on fuel? I'll grant you that the modifications I've made to my GTO have compromised its fuel economy, but a) it's not by any means a daily driver and b) closing in on 700rwhp, you sort of assume you'll be filling up more often. /shrug
@mikepedrick Ironically im also pretty sure you had 3/4 of a tank in there to. So im like you im not sure what in the hell GlenSpCO is talking about being almost on empty.
@rillifane01 Installed a Lonnies Pumper kit at the same time as the blower. Two pumps in the tank; second pump activates when I go into boost. 60lb. injectors at 60psi static fuel pressure. Haven't had a problem yet, though I'm getting uncomfortably high on my injector duty cycles with the 60s.
@VOAOURKZ The stock limited slip was replaced with an Eaton TrueTrac, but the rest of the driveline is still stock. The transmission finally gave up (there's a video here of that run). Replacing it with a 4L80.
@mikepedrick Yupp I have a cam, pushrods and valve springs. Watch out man thats cutting close even with 11lb. I run 8 just to be sure, but its your car. Where did you get your dashhawk at?
@GfieldGTO It's been awhile, but I think I actually got it from an eBay vendor. As for pushing the envelope, well... I do that sometimes. The drivetrain is stock, too, except for a TrueTrac differential. Axles, driveshaft, etc. are stock.
@GfieldGTO lsx's can take the boost got a buddy runnin 15 (single turbo) in a 6.0ed sonomma with just headstuds and z06 cam, it may not last the longest but rolling burnouts startin at 65 got me a believer in lsx power.
wow nice gto man. need to clean it though lol.if i didnt live in cali i would have bought the d1 but the p1 is doing just fine at 8 psi... whats your numbers?
@scarface70706 Last time I dynoed, it was 672rwhp/556rwtq. Best of 11.19@125 at Bandimere. 5800' ASL. I've made some changes since then; hoping for as close as possible to 700rwhp. Bottom end and transmission are still stock.
wow dude that color is rare... and i love it haha i have only seen a few goats with this paint though i wish gm would stop being a dick and drop buick and get pontiac back to work and start making fucking GTOs and Trans Ams.
@agentry880 - Thanks. The boost and fuel pressure gauges are mechanical and sourced from a company in California called SCSS. They're not anywhere near the cheapest option available, but they match the factory instruments way too well to pass up.
probably means a G8 since its 4 door and comes in GXP trim.

Did you use stock internals or upgraded? If stock, how did it hold up?

@XxTLowexX Bottom end is still stock.
mikepedrick 3 months ago
How did your fuel injectors and fuel pump hold out when you through in the D1SC? I'm considering putting that in my 06.
