Our soldiers whether working on or off base are still serving our country, so instead of nit picking, how about you get your priorities straight. Seeing 1st hand what the people in this video did, they worked their asses off and were outside the wire doing missions everyday so show some respect. As for opsec. can anyone tell me or anyone else what the mission was? or details about what they did, who they caught, what they saw, times they went outside the wire? then it's not opsec dumbasses!...
We're not nasty girls , how dare someone shame the name of the brothers who have fallen before me. we are the men that track and slay by profession, we're not weekend warriors that got called up on duty.
You sure these jokers ain't nasty girls? They're rocking an M-60 and an M-79. I thought that equipment was usually given to guard units. At least, I never saw or used those weapons in my three years as a scout on active duty. And if these guys are so high speed, they don't seem able to shoot shit. I don't know what the guy's shooting at with his 203 but it lands in the middle of the field, and the one dude totally missed that blown up tank on the range with the AT-4.
M60 and M-79 were the ODA's "Extra" Weapons they had laying around. You can see by the non-shalauntness of firing the 203 and not having any IBA on that we were just goofing off shooting into the field. And the guy shooting the AT-4 that missed the tank was actually some random Active Duty guy that was out on the range same time as us that we let shot off an extra round. High Speed, Low drag training active duty must have, Shows with that shot... Pretty entertaining comments on here.
the guar ends up with a lot of old ass weapons and that includes M-60s. My unit was a Special Operations Forces unit so we were relatively well equiped. We had all M249s. Well so we thought. The old ass M60s were oretty cuveted because they are a 7.62mm not 5.56 like the SAW. In my first tour an ACTIVE DUTY Team has an M60. I was a reservist and I had a new M249. We felt the rounds were too small for stoping say a truck or something so we mounted a captured 50cal. u dont know shit
also cjwalter you talk about having been active duty I dont hear you talking about any time down reange.... did you bail once it looked like you might have to actually fight? Well hey you'll always have the memories right? Also make sure you always know you bitched out when it was your turn. Don't worry we have the Ng and Reserves to pick up where cowards like you run the wrong way
I meant no disrespect with my nasty girls remark, and I have nothing but the utmost respect for all who have served. Please don't take it personal, it was in jest. And since you asked, yes, I did spend time downrange with the 6-9 Cav, 1st CD. In fact, out of the 14 months that I spent in Iraq, about 6 of those were spent running missions out of FOB Normandy. The rest were spent doing the same out of smaller outposts around Diyala, mostly near Muqdadiyah, and the areas surrounding Buhriz.
I was a dismount team leader and Humvee gunner and TC and was invloved in my fair share of dramas. I know the M60 is a reliable weapon, though I admit I have never handled one. We used M240Bs and that is a weapon I would bet my life on. Again, I apologize that you took offense to my original comment. Best of luck to you.
On the other and, your presumptuous comments make you come off as a prick, so you can go fuck yourself after accepting my apology. And if you want to compare dick sizes here, I wasn't awarded a Bronze Star for Valor by being a coward and bailing when it was my turn to fight, as you so aptly put it. I'll go ahead and leave it at that.
"Tiger Force" is not a National Guard unit, its a Recon platoon in 1/327th Infantry 101Airborne. Tiger Force vets take a lot of pride in being real Tigers, please don't taint that image with national guard weekend warriors.
The original Tiger Force from the 101s days in Vietnam were no doubt some professional killers who executed missions in proper fashion. The Tiger Force featured in this video, is another group of soldiers from a different unit who adopted the moniker probably after realizing, rightly so, that it just sounds cool. Props to both groups.
This Murray you speak of wouldn't happen to be a squirrelly looking guy who used to wear glasses and liked cheering for Italy during the '06 World Cup just to piss off his buddies in the barracks would he? If he is, I miss that guy.
My husband was in Fob Normandy for 15mons. Thats a real shitty place to be. We lost a lot of people in our unit. We were the unit that lost their 1st Sgt in the 2nd week of being there. 6/9CAV BABY!
this armadillo004 sounds like a true pog...always criticizen someone else.....hes prolly is a desk jockey that thinks he's a badass cuz he's talkin shit on here about a unit he has no idea about...
armadillo004 who gives a shit that the recon PLT of 327 IN is also called Tiger FOrce? Who the fuck are you to criticize anyone in Iraq? Everyone has their job to do. I am CA and I spend ALL my time downrange outside the wire with the Infantry. Dont pull that POG bullshit- doesnt fly here!
lol wow what a joke that is not the tiger force, and no layd you dont know what your talking bout. that is just a normal platton trying to hard.. and i would know cuz those aint the guys that replaced the unit before them. the guys that replaced us where a bunch of idiots. check your title again... lol what a joke.
Tiger force was a nickname for our attachment to our ODA it was actually meant to piss off some people and we didn't replace anyone, we were the first one's to be attached to them at this location. We built our base and operated out of it. We are Infantry, not P.O.G.E.s. there is never just one group solely owning one name..... grow up and do some research.
Looks like a pouge attached to a cool guy team. You should double check your title lady; the real Tiger Force is the 1-327IN Recon platoon in the 101st. I'm just sayin'
I agree....WAY TOO MUCH INFORMATION SHARED HERE!!!!! My husband is there right now and I sure as hell dont want anything jepordizing his safety. You never give out how many soldiers, what unit, or where they are and especially their mission over there
