my bunny used to hop around like that, it was so cute. we had him potty trained so we'd let him run around the house with our cats, who befriended him as opposed to try to eat him. of course we'd lock him in his cage at night or if we left the house.

@ExperimentReiProject Haha, I wish my cat was that nice...she plays with our rabbit but I always have this feeling if I didn't watch her closely, she would have a bite...luckily my cat understand hand gestures - I don't even need to say anything, I can put my hand out and she knows to leave a room or go outside :D

@chatmari You kind of have to, otherwise they don't learn not to do that. Rabbits are observational learners and will associate bad behavior with a harsh sound and won't do it as much. I do it with my rabbit and he just gives me the look of "I wasn't doing anything" and moves on to something less destructive.

@avencree pfft...I dont put my rabbits through stress at all, all you have to do is provide an ALTERNATIVE and give them cardboard houses to play in...my female rabbit at the moment will get time inside the house while I clean her hutch, so i make different obstacle courses with cardboard and recycled paper to keep her amused and not destroy the furniture...seriously...no fucking need to scare them

@piper0702 Εξαρτάται από το χαρακτήρα της γάτας. Συνήθως δεν ταιριάζουν. Αν η γάτα ζηλέψει ή φοβηθεί το κουνέλι (το κουνέλι δεν φοβάται τη γάτα στην αρχή), τότε μπορεί να του ορμήξει και μετά το κουνέλι θα φοβηθεί πολύ, και μετά τέλος. Αν η γάτα είναι ήρεμη, τότε όλα καλά... Γενικά δύσκολο.

@NintendogsAndCats051 i have two rabbits, which eventually turned into 4, they are ALOT of work and involve alot of care. They arnt toys, you cant buy one and play with it for a couple months then leave it in your parents care. My cousin did that to a rabbit she bought, now her parents take care of it. As for me i genuinely love my bunnies and we have such a strong bond, i love em to death <3 if you think your ready i insist

If you are still having issues with the chewing, just offer it alternatives. I advise you to:

(1) Find farm supply stores: $15 for a 35-50 lb. bale of fresh, healthy timothy hay vs. $10 for 4LBS of hay at a pet store chain. (It's practically dust.)

(2) Purchase a treat-log in which the treats are hidden in the center. The rabbit must chew through the outer layers to get to the inside. This helps trim their teeth.

(3) Offer your rabbit fresh greens. Tastes better than pillows.

He's so cute!! :) I used to give mine pinecones to chew. Their teeth are always growing throughout their lives so they need wood to chew on to keep their teeth short. Otherwise they have to go to the vet and get their teeth trimmed (very uncomfortable, I'm told). If their teeth grow too long they can't eat which is a sad slow way to die. I'm sure you're giving him good unpainted wood things to chew on, so that won't happen. :)

it helps t give them chewing alternatives. My bunny appreciates new small boxes like the ones that cans come in and then we give him a chew stick made for bunnies. I change it up every few days or when I notice him getting bored. We put pvc pipe over all the exposed wire in the house and he is a happy bun bun. Try those things and you won't have to scold him:)
