  • Is there anyway to get this surgery if you don't have health insurance? I am pretty sure i have ptosis, i just didn't know the name of it until now. I see it in every picture i take and now other people are starting to notice. It's just embarrassing. I want the surgery.

  • @Laaatiiina lol watch the documentary "sicko" by Michael Moore. We get free dental care, braces, discounted medicine (any medicine no matter how much it costs we only pay £12 for it) any surgery is free no matter how serious. We don't have insurance here, the government takes care of us and we're thankful for it.

  • thanks for posting this vid. I've had 1 surgery that didn't fix it and was thinking was it even worth it to try again. Then I saw this vid and I got to thinking let me try again.

  • I have it too if anything its embarrasing af and people say i look retarted especially when i used to smoke weed smh but um do anyone kno if they'll do it for ccs

  • Did she have Conginental ptosis?

  • @Gamzee96 No she didn't

  • My right eye looks like that occasionally, I don't know if it's because of bad sleep, but from time to time theyre assymetrical.

    What might be the reason?

  • @oboyy you need to be seen by an oculoplastic surgeon

  • @oboyy see a doctor. Not to worry you, but there are some conditions that cause problem with the nerve or muscle. Best to get an expert opinion rather than assuming it's a cosmetic issue.

  • @oboyy you may have some small amount of ptosis (droopy eyelid). It's not a big deal if it doesn't bother you. You should see an oculoplastic surgeon if it gets worse.

    Hope this helps

  • why does it fail sometimes?

  • i have both problems in my eyes, does is it a condition that can be covered with medical plan?

  • @tomprman yes some insurance companies do cover this.

  • I'm going into surgery again tomorrow morning for my ptosis, this will be the 3rd time in the last 2 years.

  • @jesal21 Sorry that is not usual

  • I have had the same problem. Two surgeries at Mass eye and ear, both of which failed. My case is, however, different in the sense that I have hypo-thyroid too. We never talked about a possible interference of my thyroid to the outcome of the surgery. My surgeon did his best and I am so appreciative of the passion and energy he put into this, but for some unknown reason I am not getting anywhere! I was wondering if Dr. Parsa could by any chance comment on anything we could do to fix this. I'm 33!

  • I just had my fourth ptosis repair today.

  • how much is price range?

  • Yes it could.

  • @oculoplasticsurgery if i have a moderate (nearly severe) ptosis on both sides, should i definetely get this corrected

  • Amazing result! Can ptosis be caused by injury to the eye, such as being punched or receiving a blow to the eye?

  • @kv1901 Yes it can, I have bilateral ptosis caused by being assaulted, punched in the face.

Trying to get it sorted out.

  • @cuff1944 Best of luck to you. I had a similar experience, but it isn't too bad. Check out one of my videos - like BoobQuake and see if you can notice the difference. I try to hide it, but there is like only 1 milimeter difference. If it gets worse, I would like to get it fixed.

  • @kv1901

    Yes that can cause ptosis
