While I enjoy Devildriver, I really miss the groove that CC brought to the sound. Admittedly, you can genuinely feel the hatred the band had for each other by the end of the band, but I daresay that made things better.

I'd go to a reunion show for CC in a heartbeat, but I doubt we'll ever see that, barring a major health issue for an ex-member, where apologies are made and money is needed for treatment.

Dez said in an interview that he wanted to make music and the rest of the band valued drugs more than music. I love Coal Chamber, but devildriver shows how dez evolved musically, and DD musicianship is far superior. On the bright side he moved on, too many bands stay together and suffer musically.

Their first bassist ended up getting pregnant, they hired a replacement while the other girl was busy shoving one out, replacement turned perminant, and eventually she started feuding with the members as well, if I remember correctly. But I believe it was Meegs and the drummer who were doing the things Dez talked about.

@lolwatfu No, the reason Dez left Coal Chamber is because he hated seeing his bandmates getting so fucked up on drugs. And every record they sold, and every show they played he was giving his bandmates money to buy more drugs. That is the reason Coal Chamber broke up.
