Hi Countsteff, thanks for your video its very inoformative. My car is having issue starting on first try it will not start, but on 2nd or 3rd normally starts. I am suspecting its the battery. I dont have any check lights on. I messure the battery myself and i am geting 12.2 V the bettery itself is white and has BMW on it. I think its the stock battery. My car is 04 M3 and by this time would make it 8years old, could be time to get a new one.
The job should not be attempted by an owner. The dealer took over an hour of constant work replacing the 900 amp battery in my friend's cabriolet m3. Resetting the computers took about half an hour. Major amount of work!
Bad video - It`s better and safer to undo negative pole of battery, because when you`r undoing positive pole with metal key, you can short it with cars metal parts!
the only thing i dont like about BMW is that they put their batteries in the back. I had so much trouble with my X5 and thank god, my M3's truck opened. For the X5, the truck wouldnt open, and that was such a big hassle lol. Good Video tho :D
I watched the video and installed the battery on BMW 2005 E46. Thanks for the video it save me close to $200 on installation. Looking forward for more videos
Thanks for the comment I am working on more videos the next video will show how to change the oil, I am working on setting up my website once that is done I will promote my blog more.

Do many of the BMW's have their batteries in the rear? And if so, are they always in the right corner?
CineRecon 2 years ago
Yes, almost all BMW's have it in the rear, BMW likes to balance the weight in the front and back.
