  • Hi Countsteff, thanks for your video its very inoformative. My car is having issue starting on first try it will not start, but on 2nd or 3rd normally starts. I am suspecting its the battery. I dont have any check lights on. I messure the battery myself and i am geting 12.2 V the bettery itself is white and has BMW on it. I think its the stock battery. My car is 04 M3 and by this time would make it 8years old, could be time to get a new one.

  • Thank you, I was able to replace the battery no problems. Super helpful!!!

  • The job should not be attempted by an owner. The dealer took over an hour of constant work replacing the 900 amp battery in my friend's cabriolet m3. Resetting the computers took about half an hour. Major amount of work!

  • now i know where my battery is, thanks a million, god bless you and bmw.

  • Thanks for the video! Fitted and worked first time :)

  • thanks

  • thanks for making this video. it was most helpful.

  • Thanks..

  • Good point Gunman112 you are correct sir you should remove the neg terminal first.

  • Bad video - It`s better and safer to undo negative pole of battery, because when you`r undoing positive pole with metal key, you can short it with cars metal parts!

  • what about radio code, did you have to redo it?

  • @nir2000 No

  • the only thing i dont like about BMW is that they put their batteries in the back. I had so much trouble with my X5 and thank god, my M3's truck opened. For the X5, the truck wouldnt open, and that was such a big hassle lol. Good Video tho :D

  • Thanks a lot man........good video

  • Why would they taste my battery???

  • I watched the video and installed the battery on BMW 2005 E46. Thanks for the video it save me close to $200 on installation. Looking forward for more videos

  • I am trying to find the battery on my 2006 525I, I am have trouble locating it. could really use some help. thanks a bunch.

  • Do the battery connection terminals need greasing up when hooking up a new battery??

  • @SupaSix1 I do not grease my terminals and have had no problems.

  • @COUNTSTEFF

    yeh, i didnt.

Cheers for the feedback - good vid.

  • Great job man. I find your video very useful and please keep on with uploading good videos.

  • Very informative. Thanks for the info.

  • thanks

  • My battery was changed on my e46 m3 now my navi display is just white!!

    Anyone know why this is??

  • Do many of the BMW's have their batteries in the rear? And if so, are they always in the right corner?

  • Yes, almost all BMW's have it in the rear, BMW likes to balance the weight in the front and back.

  • Thanks. With your help I was able to remove my battery in a few minutes. Nothing beats reviewing a good example before starting a project.

  • you're awesome!! thanks for posting this!

  • very helpful... thank you!

  • Good work dude, very informative

    Thanks.

BMW always wants a pint of my blood every time I go there.

  • Damn I removed the batterie and now I can't start the car to go to the shop. What do I do??...
