i actually dont like this song or i want the good times back, i just feel like theyre not right for ursulas character, if theyd done something with a more evil tone it would have been perfect because after all when we first meet ursula she is a brooding vengeful woman, shes not sad, she angry and ready to have her revenge
i like i want the good times back better cuz i find it more evil and sick how its a happy song. it gives me the impression that shes completely psychotic. However i agree that if it was for the film this would be better but i like broadway version better.
I actually like this song better than "I want the Good Times Back" because it's a great deal more sinister than Good Times and really fits in with the animated Pat Carroll version of Ursula! I could actually hear Pat Carroll singing this!
This song doesn't move the story anywhere! All it talks about it is Oh! I'm so thin! and it I Have a Plan. I Want the Good Times Back shows what Ursula wants, how they're going to get those good ol' days back and it's a fun number too!:)
Actually, this is from the demo of The Little Mermaid Broadway show, but it never made it into the final cut, so it was replaced by 'I Want the Good Times Back'.
Ah, Emily. You are the best Ursula there has ever been, even better than the original.

Wow, this really does sound like "Mother Knows Best" in Tangled, the beat does anyway. Great!

if a little bit of the beginning was cut, i think it would be perfect after Part of That World Reprise

this song would fit well in just a little mermaid musical like done for a kids theater group not a Broadway musical to me

I am so glad this song was cut! It did nothing for her character in the show; I Want The Good Times Back was the right choice.
