ArmaLite never dropped the AR180b rifle from it's line, it is just on hold while they consider upgrades such as an aluminum lower. I like it just as it is with the polymer lower which really keeps the weight and cost down. The B model uses standard AR mags and fire control parts ie. trigger/hammer. I've had one for years and it's one of my favorite rifles.
I have one and I think its a very good gun especially for the money. The only problem that I have with it, although it doesn't matter much, is that only the upper receiver is mill spec.
This AR180b has never had a hiccup. The only issue in thousands of rounds was a single time when a Primer fell out of a reloaded case and prevented full lock up. I've run a few hundred rounds of steel case through it without problem, as well.
I believe this rifle is post 94, although I have not bothered to check manufacture date or history.
Thanks for the feedback. If it had "evil features" like a threaded barrel and bayonet lug that should answer when it was made. If it were a Sterling or Howa it would be pre-89 (see GWB41). If it was made during the ban the stock is fixed, no lug, and comp will not be removable.
I'd love to put that Holographic sight and mount on my Ar180B. It would help me keep my head more upright as in your video. Can you refer me where you got ur gear. Thanks in advance
i want that

AR180B is post '94. Reliable, but the polymer/plastic stocks and lower receiver lower it's durability.

Any reliability issues? Like with Wolf/Barnaul steel case for instance?
After the ban Armalite or pre-94 rifle?

The AR180B went into production back in 2001. Production has been canceled but I'm not sure what year armalite stopped producing the weapon.
