I will list the tuning and gauge of strings also: 1-E-.016,2-D-.016,3-B-.016,4-G­#-.024,5-Middle E-.024,6-D-.032, 7-B-.042 and 8-Low E-.050 .The tuning is E7th. The ''D" strings help you to scale up and down the guitar a lot better than using- ex: E,B,G#,E. Take what you know on the bottle slide and apply on the 8. Check out some of my other videos with the pedal steel and you will hear your sound. I love when the guitar sustains like that.

Amazing. Looking to make the transition from 6 string lap to 8 string. Figured I'd start with a 6 to make the learning curve a little less steep. What tuning do you use on the 8?
