Storytime!!! Saw Billy in San Juan Cap. (So. Cal.). Stole hos song list! He came out for encore, gave me mean look. Next night, saw him in Long Beach, "I stole your songlist lst night." Billy, "Yeah, i recongnize ya." Me, "Well, could ya sign it?" Billy, "After the show." Me, "I have it right here." I pulled it out. He signed it, dated it, scratched out that nights date and put on the night befor's date!!! Then he took the stage and blew the roof off the dump!! Very cool re: my stupidity.

I saw Bragg play solo in Baton Rouge (yes Baton Rouge)around 1991. Outstanding. However, for this song, no one, not even the Clash can touch Bobby Fuller, imo.

This was filmed in Louisiana. The Hoods opened for Billy Bragg for 2 shows, one in New Orleans.

I've seen Billy Bragg in a very small club in East Berlin which once has been an old villa. That was, I guess, in '86 or so. He played some of his early songs and talked a lot to the few people in the audience. His music was quite punky w/o the stupid punk habitus, you know, with pogo, cheek piercings, coloured sting hair and so on. That impressed me much because he had something to say and not to (primarily) show his protest, so I still remember this performance until today. Great memories.
