im from EL PASO and Sparta is legendary here. Ive chilled at this memorial park. Ive met Jim Ward and he is so down to earth. He loves his city. That last concert they did in El Paso you can tell he wanted to cry cuz he has that much love for his city that eveybody went crazy for Sparta and it was emotional. Fucking sick....people smoking blunts and shit in the auditorium and nobody did a thing, it was a very chill show.
I can't see Sparta releasing another record in a while. their credit is spent. they were signed to 3 labels in 4-5 years. nobody did a thing with them. they were treated poorly by the industry and a lot of inferior bands were promoted ahead of them in the early to mid 00's. it's no wonder they almost packed it in.
@Steelyking6725 I'm glad they did too. Don't get me wrong I love the mars volta but at the drive-in was awesome band and you can barely feel that vibe out of them but with sparta they stuck to their roots. But nevertheless ATDI, Sparta, and The Mars Volta are all badass bands.
