why does my strumming sounds so different than yours, am i doing it wrong or what ? your strumming looks like a proper sound, mine is pretty fucked up ?
@drimsun I've been taught the same thing... I'm not going to say he's wrong, but I've heard from a few different instructors that it's mostly in the wrist. I say mostly because the more lively you get with the strumming the arm is gonna get more involved. To me, the big arm movement makes it harder to move from strumming to picking, like when going from a chord and 'walking up' to another chord.
I have the strumming and rhythm down to a science, but i'm having alot of difficulty with the fret board. Any suggestions? You guys need to throw up a video with a 12 string acoustic, like an Ibanez SGT122, the very guitar i'm learning guitar on. These vids provide alot of useful info, keep them coming.
You are an excellent teacher. You have taught me stuff i thought i would never understand. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Thans so much!
My gosh David you're my idol ! :) nice lesson, nice guitar =_o david you have no cable that connects your guitar with the amplifier ... is it kind of "cordless"? thankz
Can you please put a lesson on here concerning how to properly pick and hold a pick. Sounds really cheesy I know but thats where I seem to have my problems learning/playing at. I feel as if I am holding the pick incorrectly.
Big TY for postin' this, that was 1 of my biggest flaws these past few months that I've had my giutar. I always played with my wrist, and not with my elbow. This Definatly Helps Me !
Dave You should check out the Fender deluxe players strat, awesome guitar with Vintage noisless pickups. Would be great for your style and club playing.
And if I could make a request...and it might seem lame, I'm trying to learn scales and if you could make a few lessons for that. And how to progress through them to actually play and create songs.
