  • Think you guys are missing a valuable point here. There are three types of swings. Conventional swing (around 70Mph) reverse swing (more than 80 Mph) & contrast swing with the seam upheld straight. In a bowling speed lower than 70Mph, contrast swing tend to swing away to the shiny side. In higher speed limits it does the reverse hence moving towards the shining side.you can't argue and decide what the type of the swing. It relates to the seam position & the movement obtained. Know your physics!

  • what's the difference between inswing and reverse swing? still don't get it

  • @s121202 inswinging will be inward toward da batsmen stump if he is RHB, but when its reverse swinging, if u bowl a inswing, it will go outswing, outward frm da batsmen stump...Hence da name reverse swing.:)

  • @s121202 i think you find the reason why your still confused is because this video is wrong. the video explains swing bowling but not reverse. reverse bowling is, when conditions are perfect, the ball will actually start to do the opposite to the explaination in this video. nothing to do with inswing or outswing. the ball does the oppisite to what the batsman is expecting. need perfect pitch, wheather, and ball polishing skills to get it right. what "ffrnj" said is wrong.

  • @jumtasticstedman dude r u retarded? it clearly explains how reverse swing occurs it has nothing to do with magical conditions! you just simply dont know how normal swing works!!!!

  • @TheJarding . hold on mate, no need for insults. you have to realise that "reverse" swing is not simply turning the shiny side around, resulting in the opposite swing direction? right ? you understand that ? the shiny side is held the same as usual, but with good wheather conditions e.g. high humidity, a drying pitch, and keeping the ball dry, the ball will start to do the opposite to what it did in the previous overs. you dont agree ?

  • @jumtasticstedman hahahaa thank you but i know that u r missing somthing right now! listen normal swing is when one side of the ball is rougher than the other side, this rough side causes air turbulence causing the air over the rough side to take longer than the shiny side causing it to swing. reverse swing (just like explained in the video) is when the shiny side become so heavy due to constant polishing and the rough side becomes lighter due to the loss of leather. causing the ball to reverse

  • @jumtasticstedman also!!!! if u still dont think im right get a tennis ball put lots of tape around one side and bowl it seam up. instead of the tennis ball swinging to the rough side like with normal swing, the ball will actually reverse swing and move towards the heavier taped side! i know what im talking about :)
