@violasarre here's a bad experience; Once I flew with a United 777-300 from Houston to Amsterdam Schiphol, and I saw people having to stand next to their seats because they were too tall to fit in their seats.. Another one was when I was supposed to fly with a United CRJ-700 from washington dulles to minneapolis and then on to LAX, but when I got in Minneapolis the flight to LAX was cancelled, and no replacing flight the next 24 hrs.. No hotel, no contact with United for refund, nothing.. Enoug

You forgot Transaero and American Airlines. AA went from a two star rating at Skytrax to a one star in 2011. I bet American Airlines will be the first airline in history to have their only star taken away from them in 2012. Air Koryo actually has a better rating than AA. I think 2 and half star.

I agree with others, that Ryan Air should be " The winner" . So , it is interesting you have been on board of Air Koryo. Say what you will, but the Afghan Airline at least looks clean.
At least United is improving and I hope it's actually getting better.... Cuz switching to Cathay Pacific was an eye opener. Worst airlines that people ride on a lot (AKA not counting the market-less Afghan and African flyers): China Airlines and Phillipines, and yeap, China Eastern.
What's wrong with easyjet? I mean, you get what you pay for, if you were expecting a 5 star service then it should have been obvious from the ticket price that wasn't what you were going to get. I find easyjet to be extremely good value for money for the service they provide (at least, far better than Ryanair anyway).
United sucks balls. I gave them one year of my money and time, and observed closely: the contrast in treatment between first-class and economy passengers is startling, their attendants are as surly as prison guards and their policy for camcorders on board is "Absolutely not, at any time while aboard the aircraft". Their cavalier "we-can-do-no-wrong" attitude will have them going the way of PanAm eventually.

Having flown with Air Koryo recently I wouldn't call them one of the worst airlines based on service/aircraft. The inflight meal was fantastic, service amazing and aircraft new. United Airlines and Garuda Indonesia were much worse.

I'm talking about the proud blue colors of the Royal Dutch Airlines, also known as KLM!

I had in the same trip a diversion, a huge delay, a flight cancelled & I've never be treated so badely by a ground staff....no explanation, no compensation, nothing! the seats are not so comfortable, service is not so great .... they had to offload my luggage due to lack of space, crew were not nice & not helpfull at all & rude. Their coffee was just discusting...... I much prefere easyjet !

The legroom on their intercontinental flights is the worst ever.. I'm not kidding, a guy in front of me stood in front of me for 9 hours straight. I agree with others, that Ryan Air should be " The winner" . So , it is interesting you have been on board of Air Koryo. In few years ago they had charter flights here, so some times , it was possible to see them on the airport. :-) But Why Ariana? they are really old, but thea are starting to build new company every 10 years , they are really unhappy people there ( meaning of flying funs also).

At least United is improving and I hope it's actually getting better.... Cuz switching to Cathay Pacific was an eye opener. Worst airlines that people ride on a lot (AKA not counting the market-less Afghan and African flyers): China Airlines and Phillipines, and yeap, China Eastern.

What's wrong with easyjet? I mean, you get what you pay for, if you were expecting a 5 star service then it should have been obvious from the ticket price that wasn't what you were going to get. I find easyjet to be extremely good value for money for the service they provide (at least, far better than Ryanair anyway).

United sucks balls. I gave them one year of my money and time, and observed closely: the contrast in treatment between first-class and economy passengers is startling, their attendants are as surly as prison guards and their policy for camcorders on board is "Absolutely not, at any time while aboard the aircraft". Their cavalier "we-can-do-no-wrong" attitude will have them going the way of PanAm eventually.

Having flown with Air Koryo recently I wouldn't call them one of the worst airlines based on service/aircraft. The inflight meal was fantastic, service amazing and aircraft new. United Airlines and Garuda Indonesia were much worse.

@edtheabraham in fact I live in the Netherlands and use not really something like southwest, but one of the first airlines in the world, flying in the 1920s to indonesia for the first time in ever with the famous douglas DC-2. this airline is partner of the Skyteam, including Delta airlines, and operates a huge fleet consisting from 747s, a330s, 737- 3,4,7,8 and 900ERs, brandnew ERJ190's, 777-2 and 300ERs. I'm talking about the proud blue colors of the Royal Dutch Airlines, also known as KLM!

@futurepilot95 & as a personal experience, KLM is the worst airline in the world ! I had in the same trip a diversion, a huge delay, a flight cancelled & I've never be treated so badely by a ground staff....no explanation, no compensation, nothing! the seats are not so comfortable, service is not so great .... they had to offload my luggage due to lack of space, crew were not nice & not helpfull at all & rude. Their coffee was just discusting...... I much prefere easyjet !

Easy jet isn't too bad as it's cheap and used for short distances. Thomas cook in the other hand are awful! You need to pay for everything apart from one meal! I'm talking from UK to Canada. Seats are uncomfortable, chairs hardly go back and

Their 777 had very poor legroom, (not to mention the 767) and some people even had to stand next to their seats because they simply didn't fit in their seat. Anyway, thanks for watching!

@afcaj0od well have you ever seen people having to stand next to their seats when they're just too tall to fit in their seats, while they aren't that tall at all? The legroom on their intercontinental flights is the worst ever.. I'm not kidding, a guy in front of me stood in front of me for 9 hours straight. And flights that are delayed for days are not uncommon either, and you can forget about a free hotel by United or something..
Maybe the continental part is better but I don't know..
