My theory: Gossip magazines and web sites have lied SO MANY TIMES about them, spreading all sorts of silly gossip to get people to buy gossip magazines, that the Olsens have learned not to talk a lot. If they seem "dull" that's not their fault, they have to watch EVERY WORD they say cause they know gossip magazines are always ready to tell more lies.

My guess is they're very outgoing and fun in private but VERY quiet in interviews. Which imo shows they're smart.
