  • Deris' voice is really good for this song. As I Lay Dying totally took a good spin on this one too. Great cover!

  • judas priest and halloween rulez

  • The Hellion and Electric Eye

  • Really bad cover.

  • @LehaoDevelor what is wrong with this cover?

  • Honestly, this cover is better than the Godsmack one. And better than the Corey Taylor cover.

  • @KadeI0I of curse man i agree ! but corey sucks if you comparate with the gods helloween

  • 5 people's laser...

Aw, forget it I have some life.

  • This song is not heard properly until heard while accelerating.

  • Hahaha, what Devil Jin is doing here? (I loved him though).

  • I like it, but i think i like the As I lay dying cover better. Nothing beats the original though.

  • Only Helloween can make such a good cover of Judas Priest!!!

  • @Z3RK777 I would also add - to that short list of yours - Disturbed, Death, Kreator, UDO, King Diamond, Gamma Ray, Saxon, Pantera, Godsmack, etc etc great bands that have ever done a Judas Priest cover.

  • @BGSoccerMagic true

  • the devil jin is a the biggest fail

  • fuckin awesome cover \m/

  • God salute Hellopriest!

  • superb cover! well done!!

  • fuckin great cover.

  • 4 people aren't made of metal

  • Judas R BEST

  • Imagine if this was done during Kiske era!

  • @onett128

I am almost 110% certain this was done on the album The Time of the Oath. Which if I am correct, is the Kiske era. So ya, L2Kiske.

  • @humberger1 Lol fail, Kiske era was keepers - Chameleon.

  • @humberger1

Nope, The Time of the Oath is Deris Era.

  • @humberger1 Man, Time Of The Oath is de Deris era

  • Excellent cover, love both these bands

  • protyectyive

  • who's that guy at 3:35

  • @harimarockfan95 i think is from Tekken but i cant remember his name

  • @TheMutator

    Devil Jin from Tekken 5

  • theres 2 names for it the Hellion and the Electric Eye both are pure epicness!

  • the voice of andi deris was incredible in this song, great tribute

  • bow now now nowww noww ^^

  • this is a great cover

  • Me encanta judas priest, pero ninguna como helloween.!!!!

  • that was beastie

  • <--Wouldve liked to seen Pantera and judas priest join up,but now that dime is gone, not so much.

  • how they made something as simple as a security camras so fucking metal is beyond me

  • Two of my favourites bands

  • Not bad, but Iron Savior's cover is the best.

  • Good job,i like it even quicker than the original!

  • Great original song, great cover. Both Helloween and Judas Priest are incredible bands.

  • Helloween Died when Kiske left the band. No one on earth comes close to him Except Halford.

  • @burnthiscorpse Actually, it revived when he left the band, unless you enjoyed the musical direction that Chameleon and Kiske's solo career was taking.

There's more to metal vocals than screams. As much as Kiske's tenor in his early career still sends shivers down my spine, Deris is a considerably more versatile singer than Kiske and a stronger songwriter.

Halford, I'll agree with. He does more with his voice in one song than most singers do in their entire career.

  • @akyrii I agree with you. Deris made Helloween reborn. His voice is more metal than Kiske, and Helloween with him has better albuns.

  • greatest metal-band ever lived

  • dude i agree badassness to the max

  • cuando escuche esta cancion no sabia si era de helloween o judas priest despues me entere que era de judas y me dije esto si que es un cover.

  • judas preist is and always will be the best metal band to ever come out!!!!

  • killer cover

  • Good Cover

  • Damn, I had been looking for this! I heard this version of the song many years ago, and I thought it was Judas. Then, some time later, searching through the Judas discography, I could not find this more developed, better rehearsed, more mature version of the song that I had heard. Well, doh, no wonder. Should have looked under H!

  • Rob Halford is a god of metal and gays

  • 3 people caught the Electric Eye watch them while they were having sex

  • deris should sing like that on helloween albuns, not try to sound a totally failed replaced version of michael kiske

  • @renatonigro agreed

  • Devil Jin...

  • The singer sounds JUST like Whit Crane... Wow

  • Wow! This is a kick ass cover!

  • Awesome cover

  • PRIEST FOREVER!!!!!

    Great cover, BTW.

  • awsome cover judas priest forever

  • makes me proud that i grew up in this era!!,,wouldnt trade it for the world!

  • @uiwqe Lucky bastard.

  • @TheHellPatrol666 dont worry, pal!,,u have bands like disturbed,,,lol..just kidding ok?LOL

  • @TheHellPatrol666 llhey!,,did u ever see godsmack do their judas preist tribute??its not bad.

  • @uiwqe I'll definitely check it out, Godsmack are one of the few newer bands I appreciate.

  • @uiwqe I caught the tail end of this stuff...I actually think I was the last fan. I'm so glad I was born just in time.

  • tribute??? there not dead!!! so why is there a tribute.....??????

  • Because they're so freakin epic

  • buen cover por parte de helloween ahora no se quien la canta mejor si iron maiden o helloween, por supuesto el original de judas es simplemente exelente

  • @eldemoledor20 Helloween, Canta Andi Deris

  • BUEN COVER DE HELLOWEEN ME GUSTO

  • the best intro of all time

  • stick to the day job boys

  • @The531967 that doesnt make sense :p

  • Good cover!

    Another good cover you guys might want to check is Breaking the Law by Firewind;

Both of these bands do good work! :D

  • I almost think the guitar in this version is better then the original. I think the originals vocals are better though. But the vocals on this one are good.

  • @avmf8

I think the drums are also better. Uli Kusch plays in a quicker and more aggressive style than Dave Holland.

  • Really a great cover, Deris' voice is awesome! Helloween FTW!! \m/

  • This is a very good cover close to the original. One of the best covers of the album. Good job pumpkins!

  • great cover

  • eh... beginning was so fcking awesome but rest was hmm not so epic as intro in my opinion =D

  • I'm elected electric engineer

  • lol Jin

    Good cover! :D

  • this is the best version of the song :P

  • I don't care what some of these people say. This is an exellent cover from an amazing band.

  • Cool!

  • wow dude would have hurt you to have any helloween pictures in there? they are the one's playing after all.... (fuck there's even a tekken one wtf LOL)

  • very good cover, but you can't beat the gods!

  • @robinbrooke i dunno man... this IS a DAMN good cover...lol

  • And I thought that Iron Savior cover was great, this one is even better!

  • very good one actually!

  • If you guys aren't singers then you obviously don't understand how easy falsetto screams are and the difference between falsetto and chest voice.

Have fun criticizing now that you know the facts.

  • I like the guitar better from this but I prefer the voice from judas priest.

  • @HardRawRocknRoll

indeed, i'm not a singer but get as high as king diamond xD

  • @HardRawRocknRoll lol helloween is a power metal band, power metal singers NEED to know how to take extreamly high notes or they would not be singing power metal.

    simple as pie ;)

  • hmm? this is supposed to be a cover he doesnt even try on the high notes

  • I agree with REIVA below. This is still great though. Way better than that crapfest of a cover album that this lineup did. Even their real albums are crap. They can still play good music like this but for some reason they are all techno goofy like now.......mRs gOd :-|

  • aq this would rock if kai or kiseke made this =(

  • judas priest the best metal band of all time, the incredible voice of Rob Halford's impressive duo of guitarists very good version of this classic large group hello ween

  • LETHER AND METAL!

  • god damn this is sexy

  • @mmaiden666

    I know right!

  • you just made my day

  • Really good Tribute!!!

  • buen cover pero a mi opinion andi deris canta remal!

  • hehe its my favourite version :D

  • this is probably the best cover song on that tribute album, next it being The Ripper by Mercyful Fate

  • good cover in my opinion, i love the echo in the begining, sounds like its atomic war begining :)

  • WOW! Great tribute guys! Love to see you LIVE! Are you coming over to Toronto, Ontario - Canada? Let us know please! I'll tell all my Friends! Rock on!!

  • What's wrong with you people? I'm not a fan of Deris, but he does an amazing job on this!

  • halford's vocals are less agressive in the original, but deris pretty ruined it

  • GREAT JUDAS TRIBUTE!!!

  • ANDI DERIS GREATTTTTTT!!!!!!!

  • damn not a bad cover of course the orignal is better but DAMN SICK FUCKING COVER 5/5

  • You asshole should listen to the music "Screaming for Vengeance", from the same album of "Electric Eye"... So, you'll see what is vocal power!

Shut the fuck up when you're talking about the metal god!

  • This version SUCKS!

Oh shit, the vocalist screwed up the whole music!

    PRIEST 4 LIFE!

  • Awesome judas priest tribute from helloween!

  • Good cover.

  • its sound good, but they are no Priest. but good tribute

  • better than the original n_n

  • That's a pretty ignorant statement considering that it's only a cover and of Judas Priest at that. Love Helloween, but no one, NO ONE can play Judas Priest music like Judas Priest can. Everything from the sweeps and technical firepower of Glenn Tipton, to the experimentation and mind bending aggressiveness of K.K. Downing, to the living mechanical thunder of Scott Travis, to the perfect rhythm of Ian Hill, to the definitive well rounded voice of Rob Halford. Pay your respects to who made metal.

  • Chill, it's an opinion.

  • i like the singing in this better than judas priests and i absolutely love priest. seen em two times live in the past two years :P

at their masters of metal tour and that tour with whitesnake (whitesnake sucks!)

  • So you're saying you are comparing Rob Halford with a more aged voice to a singer that still has some youth left? I think you should take into consideration that Rob wanted the vocals for this song to be more eerie, precise, and relaxed rather than nasty and distorted. Rob can sing as growly as he wants (since he was one of the main metal pioneers of that) and he does so a bit more nowadays. You need to listen to older live Priest tracks or the old videos before you make assumptions like that.

  • seriously chill out dude.. its my opinion...

its not like im threatening you

its just when rob sings this song he sounds kinda dull and this is more aggressive. the guitars are no where near as good as the original though. its just this song.. like for example, painkiller, now THAT is aggressiveness in which helloween cannot match

  • Haha why would I be threatened by that? Besides Priest has always had a restrained hostility in a lot of their songs. That's why they are considered so great, it's hard to replicate.

  • do you know how to comprehend sentences...?

you are freaking out like i DID threaten you.

ITS AN OPINION CHILL THE DICK OUT

  • I think we have a hypocrite on our hands ladies and gentlemen. I am completely relaxed and typing in proper English and you have to resort to a weird mixture of cursing and what you believe to be a complete sentence, when it in fact makes not a bit of sense at all. I'm sorry that I'm overloading your mind and making you think that I'm "freaking out" when I'm indeed not at all. It was fun talking to you! I sure have faith in the new generation now. Give yourself a pat on the back for that!

  • that whole album is amazing

    true heavy metal

  • whitesnake doesnt suck lol

  • the weird part is that deris's clean singing is pretty cool, but his screechy type thing he does usually is really hard to get into and absolutely murders the kiske era songs. still, it goes well with some of his own songs.

  • honestly every song on this album is a fantastic cover! this is how I really got introduced to the priest. Then I really ended up appreciating the priest better. So glad I got to see them at ozzfest up close and personal!!

  • I'm surprised how good a cover this is ,its the best i think i've heard Deris sound

  • I'm made of metal, my circuits gleam, I am perpetual I keep the country clean

  • I'm elected electric eye!

  • Awesome. Fucking. Cover.

    Jesus I love this song.

  • What's the name of the singer? I know it's not Hansen, this is the guy who sang on "The Dark Ride" isn't it?

  • Andi Deris

  • great cover i love it!

  • Great cover to a great song..

  • pisteuw pws einai kalutero apo ton judas pantws -.-

  • nice cover

  • Deris is really good

  • METAL 4 EVER.

  • good bands enjoy good bands

  • Kai sounds great here.

He did a cover of Victim Of Changes too, with Gamma Ray.

  • its not kai

  • Neither this, nor the Victim of Changes cover is performed by Kai Hansen...

  • fuckin duel solo from hell!!!!!

  • Now, THIS is a proper cover: true to the original, but slightly one-uping it a bit. Though I did like Rob's more haunting vocals, but still, fucking rad.

  • ofm course it was JUDAS FUCKING PRIEST that did it . this is just an simple cover . dont think that hellowen did that cus hes not true . glenn tipton will own the world! HELL YEAH /m\

  • among with KK Downing! \../

  • then check out the songs i mentioned!!

  • who made the song ?? some say helloween

    I thought judas did

  • its a cover judas did the original

  • Yes, Judas Priest did.

Priests released this on their 1982 album Screaming for Vengeance. Helloween was formed in 1984, and this cover song was released in the beginning of 1997.

  • HELLOWEEN RULE!

    JUDAS PRIEST RULE!

Let's not try and compare, they are both awesome.

  • that's true helloween and judas are fuckin true metal!!!! ImI

  • Tekken ???'

  • Esta de poca madre con este grupo :D

  • The solo is awesome!

  • great riff!!! omg

  • In my eyes nothing can ever beat the original version of any song, but this is as close as it gets.

  • I`m elected, elected spy

I protect You Electric EYE !

Just like Manowar`s The Power !

  • I'm elected, electric spy

    I'm protected, electric eye

That's how it really goes but you were close

  • Whoa ! My False : )

My ears are going to hell : P

    Helldoradooo !

  • Love it =D
