Am I wrong or is your AVCR boost controller showing boost even when idling? Mine definitly goes into vacuum when off the throttle... Just noticed it and wondered why yours wasnt...
why would you buy a boost gague that only reads up to 1.5 bar thats like like 22lbs. you never run it higher? cause that'd be the first person i know out of the evo world that runs that boost. no offense just a ?
thats stupid considering evos are at about 19psi stock. and unless you have aftermarket parts substantial enough for the pressure, it is not recommended because prolonged usage can cause problems later down the road.
@TheJugsGaming basically a blow off valve just releases enough pressure to not blow the engine. when u vta (vent to atmosphere) u are releasing too much pressure meaning ur turbo has to build it back up again to maintain the power consistency. most aftermarket blowoff valves will not harm ur car but they reduce performance since they are bought for the "cool" sound. get a blow off valve that recirculates the psi while releasing some to maintain proper pressure.
@TheJugsGaming to be honest bro im not too familiar with the 10 blow off valves. go to socalevo.net and join our forums...you can post that question there and get plenty of useful info.
@242DEE of course it can hold that...but as stated b4 it's not recommended unless you have other things to accomadate it because eventually u will run into problems sooner than expected due to increased pressure on the engine. and the stock 9 bov can hold more than 25 stock since it's more reliable due to it being made of metal instead of platic like the 8 bov.
@242DEE well ya 30 psi is alot for a 9 bov...but i have been running 27 psi for 2 years and no problems what so ever...don't believe everything on evom...although it is a good site for a variety of reasons it's like wikipedia. answers submitted sometimes by unreliable sources...if ur in california by chance u should hit up socalevo.net
@GUCHCARNAGE do u know how much 1.5 bar is?! even our vw golf gtd is running on "only" 1.3 bar boost. and this is enough for 150 diesel hp and a acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds

@Justin2352 If I were looking to get an evo x GSR Trim, what BOV would be most efficient, performance wise?

@Justin2352 my bad bro they said it can take 25 safely and the 4g63 block can take 30 psi on e85 without building the block or internal mods

@CIKO32123
Explanation: Bar is a pressure unit. To convert it to psi, multiply the value given in bar by 14.50377.
2 bar = 29.00755 psi
1.5 bar = 21.75566 psi
