I am replacing mine with ddm 35 watters and sure could use some help to even get to the bulbs. The book says to remove the grille, that looks fun.. thanks for your help. (2011 f250)
@alvie2 It's really easy. I just replaced my DDM bulbs on Saturday and did it in less than 15 minutes. Remove the grill (2 minutes), remove 4 bolts for the headlight (4 minutes) and you're right there.
Awesome! Keep em coming. Your videos have helped me alot. They also give me more confidence in me doing alot of my own work now. I just installed a pair of F350 rear blocks to replace my F250 2" blocks. Truck has more of a Super Duty look to it. Will be installing the Firestone Ride Rite tomorrow. Thanks!
@superdave267 Great job. Yes, I prefer to do as much of the work on my truck as possible. There's so many benefits that come from doing it yourself. You're going to love those air bags.
With the aftermarket HID lighting, do you still retain the high beam function? I have read some reports that you would lose high beam however, that would reduce the effectiveness of the headlight in many driving application. Excellent videos by the way, I have enjoyed every one of them.
@dieselmn89 These HID's include an option to order the Hi/Low relay with the set. They work just like the factory bulbs in that respect. One thing that is different is that there is approximately a 20 second warm-up period. When you turn them on, the arc bulbs instantly flash on and then come up to full brightness gradually. After this adjustment, I haven't been flashed by oncoming traffic.
