I must say, off all the videos I have seen, you are the closest to the original. Love your patterns and the matching speed to the original stuff. keep up the good job...
@katrinasiu52 Hi Katrina, I found the sheets off Jeremy Francis' own video on his YouTube channel (he's the arranger of this amazing rendition). If you follow the link under "Video Responses" above, it will take you to his video of this very piece. Hope this helps!
@ryan87401 Thank you so much! I know, I wish the sound was better. I just recorded it on my digital camera (not very professional, haha). I tried to be as faithful to the original recording as possible -- I know a lot of other videos on here do different variations of it, but not the "real" thing.
Hehe, your welcome. I think i listen the most to Thomas Newman. Especially How to make an American Quilt, White Orleador and Horse Whisperer are INSTANT classics. I have no idea how much i listened to that:P But a LOT! And yes his music takes me to another dimension:-)
@juggernoud1 Tell me about it. I have close to 450 Thomas Newman tracks in my iTunes library alone! Meet Joe Black is easily in my top 5 of his work. He's a genius.
WOW that is a LOT!! I have no idea how many i have. But a LOT too, though not that many:P Horse Whisperer is my absolute number 1! I really listen to that every day!! And it impresses me each day =D Also the other 2 OST's (which i mentioned earlier) are absolutely stunning. I haven't listened a LOT to meet joe black. Is there another album which i really need to listen to? :-)
@juggernoud1 The Horse Whisperer is a beautiful album... I have it in my collection, but haven't listened to it in ages. I should do that today! Thomas Newman has various nuances to his style, from quirky and off-beat to heart-wrenchingly beautiful. The OST's I cannot live without are: Meet Joe Black, Road to Perdition, Angels in America, Scent of a Woman, The Shawshank Redemption and Cinderella Man... and probably 10 others, haha ;o)
Okay thanks! About a month ago i heard the main title of angels in america for the first time and that one is overwhelming as well! I am going to listen to scent of a woman then;) Don't know that one:-)
@juggernoud1 Definitely let me know what you think of Scent of a Woman! It's a little different than his others (there are some "quirkier" tracks) but others are simply breathtaking. I highly recommend the movie as well!
@rvvmhmwii Haha, thanks Rick! I can always count on you for encouragement :o) Glad you liked it. I'm just so thankful there are sheets out there for this piece (thanks again to Jeremy Francis). Newman's style basically defines me as a human being. I can't get enough of his scores. And "Walkaway" has always been my favorite.
One of my new Favorites on You Tube :-)
