  • I wonder where he finds all these badass pedals

  • got one, bought mine 80 bucks, im trying to make some good sounding clones of this killer pedal!

  • holy shit. either you have a very small hand or that is one gaint pedal!

  • @Iamboott I think it's the latter.

  • Cool what scales are you using?

  • I have a '70's Big Muff and a '90's re-issue tonebender and they are completely different beasts, and I use them for contrasting sounds. You can't say that one is better than the other.

  • im guessing with the orange amp to go with it your a marc borland fan

  • @510wtf ...its bolan not borland

  • I love it...you can get a distorsion where you can hear the notes, great for solos and rithym guitar, great sustain,70's sound, pretty round sound...

  • I want this. Obviously I won't be able to get one of these.

    Can someone recommend a clone?

PS: I'm using a single coil strat...these still sound badass on those, right? Who am I kidding, of course it will.

  • @PrestonDowMusic fuzz sounds better on strats :D

  • @PrestonDowMusic I can recommend you a clone, get the Big Muff PCB from General Guitar Gadgets. The Guild Foxey Lady, The Colorsound Jumbo and Supa Tonebender are the exact same circuit (but different values and transistors) of the Electro-Harmonix Big Muff except that the first diode clipping stages are removed (both Jumbo & Supa) and the final gain stage is missing (Jumbo only). The BC184 Silicon Transistors are still available at Fairchild Semiconductor, and Mouser.

  • It takes a certain type of guitar player to make a fuzz sound epic, you sir, are brilliant!

  • You should have hit an E chord hard first, so then we could tell what type of distortion the amp is getting without the Tonebender. It seems like the amp is being driven harder than just a normal pickups output.

  • The best BF Trike cut is Time and Changes

  • Search youtube for the band BF Trike .

This "IS" the PSYCH tone... Very Cool

    I want one!

  • So much fuzz...

  • Gilmour fan?

  • Certain Company In England Sell these. There name Begins with MusicG They will take your money and you wont get the pedal.. Also they have gone into administration.. So DONT BUY NEW.

  • the trifecta fuzz nails this shit...but fails the big muff switch tho

  • This is what you wish your big muff sounded like,...unless you like the big muff sound of course,

  • nah, i wish my muff sounded like a big muff...its like compararing a toyota to a jeep

  • @PlayaDontHate24 I hear ya, Iv'e come to appreciate the big muff in recent months

  • @radagast9 actually structurally it -is- a big muff circuit with a final gain stage missing and a different choice of transistors. But I agree, I love the sound

  • @radagast9 Sad part? Big Muffs and Tonebenders use the same basic circuit...difference is in the tonestack.

  • Hi voodoowrench!

Can you show me a demo with fuzz level at "zero" and volume and tone control at half?

    Thanks...

  • Wooooow, that's a fucking fuzz pedal baby.

  • WTF??? Is that your HAND? This thing is so huge it could be Godzilla's Fuzz Pedal...

  • LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • my friend got this pedal of some guy for free on craigslist........damn...its good!!!!

  • Good score man!!

  • what is the best repro of this?

  • for a reproduction i like the mjm brit bender...its the same sound except its about the size of an mxr pedal

  • cool thanks!

  • I heard the circuit of this pedal is closer to a Big Muff than a Brit Bender

  • Well I've used the brit bender and I own a big muff. They dont sound very similar to my ears. The big muff uses silicon transistors while the brit bender uses germanium. The eq is alot different than a big muff if the tone controls are at 12 o'clock

  • and mjm does make their own big muff-style pedal. The foxy fuzz is alot like the big muff. Its got alot of gain and uses silicon transistors, but its smooth and thick. Its also much more quiet than a standard big muff.

  • what orange amp are you using?

  • sounds alot like adam jones! i believe he uses a similar fuzz to this one.

  • what song does he use it on?

  • For wich price do they go on ebay?

  • got one for sale if anyone interested

  • nice to hear the Colorsound Tone bender. I got galore old pedals, never got this one....

  • the jumbo tonebender (as is the supa tonebender) is similar to the big muff. this of course means that it is not a germanium fuzz.

  • germanium is overrated, this sounds amazing!

  • No. More on pedals, less lessons!

  • I agree

  • +1 keep 'em coming!

  • Dude should spend less money on vintage pedals, and more on lessons
