Why is the Supreme Court still not able to give a verdict on this. Is the Supreme Court not functioning at right pace or the Chief Justice is in need of Governments approval to give its verdict. This 49-0 is already a delayed option and we need to stage a protest against Supreme court for such a delayed action on this.But Ezhil this is a good awareness work.
good work, ezhil! cleared a few of my doubts reg 49-O. Eagerly waiting for Apr 13th :) 49-O is not the complete solution but i strongly believe that our solution begins there.
Unfortunately, even though Election Commission of India is an Independent Wing in our constitution , the politicians always try to keep it in their hands. I remember here how Mr.Seshan had to face the problems when he was the Sole-Election Commissioner
I little bit differ from Mr.Gnani as to Constitutional or political crisis when 49-O choosers are more than others , if there is secret polling possible. Because, when both Government of India and Election Commission of India join hands together , automatically , Government of India has to make the necessary constitutional amendments and amendments in People's Representation Act. But, anyhow, Mr. Gnani well-defined in respect of 49-O and this is a well-attempt for social awareness.
