You say that it is a shame that the area you are standing would be pushed down the hill into a stream, etc,etc,etc - you do not even notice you are standing on what was once a MTR site. You are standing on the reclamation. MTR improves hunting and wildlife, growth of berries and such, etc, etc, I agree there are valuable points to both arguments - but the truth is if done correctly a mountain can be stripped and then revitalized to prosper once again.

I'm not a drain or druggie. I've worked all my life. Tree humper whatever! It's not all about the COAL MINERS. I OWN COAL, OIL AND GAS. MTR supplies about 5% electricity but wow to a DIPSHIT like you that's like winning the lottery. I'm against MTR not all coal mining. Want to meet? I'll prove to you, we own 50% or more MINERAL in Floyd Co. We loose more refusing MTR alone then you'll ever earn. I'm sure we could've pulled strings and replaced the job you lost JETHRO.
