I suppose I was judgemental, and I apologize. I see so much hoopla over entertainment (ie Michael Jackson). I'd rather see focus on local entertainment so many more artists can actually make a decent living instead of all the fame/fortune going to a few. And yes, I am a man.

Why wouldn't you switch to 680 News or CP24 (1050 am)? In an emergency like this music is absolutely USELESS! News isn't boring, it gives facts that save lives. Turn off the tunes & get some useful info instead. News keeps YOU safe and keeps you out of the way of EMS, helping save others. I can't understand why music is SOOOOO important. Keep informed and you'll stay safe.
Wow...entirely judgemental. The RADIO was on, at this point we JUST pulled onto that part of the highway and saw that (from the 407). After this we turned on 680 and listened to it the whole way back to Barrie, if you really are concerned. Prior to this it was your run of the mill thunderstorm. Nice comment though...sigh...you must be a man
In hindsight...680 News actually told me nothing that would have helped me in that situation. They said stay in your car or get in the basement/bathtub/closet/stairwell. We were already in our car...
I heard this tornado was an high end f2 possibly a f3 I hope everone is okay and you're going to need insurance cuz most of the houses are reduced to rubble. Good luck with the cleanup in vaughan today.
Apparently Vaughan has secured state of emergency status. CP24's AM station 1050 is received clearly up North, most of the time, so I was able to keep up with the updates. I guess you'll know better in the morning what has happened. Crazy, crazy weather.
