He is right. Letting a dog lay on top of you or above you gives him dominance. The leader always gets the higher ground. The same with letting a dog eat before or at the same time as you, letting him go through a door first, and walking ahead of you.

My Jack cuddles alot with me! They're just like big cuddle bears. They feel so secure and safe when they do that. You can see it in their faces. They have to be with their human.

just ask your vet or any dog trainer.
