With that gear don't you overheat the motor or the ESC?

Actually when you gear it too high, it starts to overheat. Because the motor has alot better stress relief when it has a more torquey gear setting.

12/90 is about as low as you can get with the Stampede... With gearing like that you get massive torque with minimum stress on the motor... The only time I even check the temps with that gearing is when I run my 9-cell pack...

I'm waiting for a mamba max 5700 combo too to put in my E-Firestorm and I was thinking to get 15/90 gear and run in a 6cell, 8cell and lipo 7.4v and 11.1v. I hope don't get overheat in my combo.
