Why do I cry when I listen to my favourite singer Talat Mahmood. I feel he is singing for me only and nobody else, so much sorrow, pathos. Why did God take him away so early, may be he needed somebody over in heaven to sing for him.

Saddened by the repeated treachery of foes and friends alike one longs 4 solitude to let the deep gashes and galls  heal out. Again one of my favs like so many of talat's songs. This is one of Talat's best songs. There is no one else who has such silky softness and ease of rendition. Unmistakebly Talat. slight variations may be attributed to different recording dynamics. there is also a live version of this song available on you-tube, which equally spell binding. it's all right, Cheers.

Great man. Great songs. Unique. If you want to really appreciate his songs you need to listen to them at specific times. They will take you to a state where you are neither awake nor sleeping. When you are in that state, you will feel his soothing voice penetrating right into soul. As far as I am concerned, there can only be 3 types of mood.

The sad mood and the

Talat Mah.....mood.

No one could ever sing a ghazal with so much feeling and pathos. It's a pity that songs were so short those days. I remember Arzoo ,Dilip Kumar and Talat as if it was only yesterday. My friends insisted me to sing Talat Mehmood's songs those days because I loved his voice and tried to immitate him.
