i don't understand why there aren't more comments on this page. you are gifted! i think this is the best recording of this prelude on you tube and i think i've watched them all. i'm no expert though; i'm just going by what i think sounds good! i'm learning this piece myself and although it's not technically hard, it's challenging to get just the right touch, articulations, tempo, etc. you did a great job! keep it up
maybe that's it. at 1:18 his little hair flair thing he does made me barf in my mouth and turned the video off. i've yet to listen to the rest of it. it kind of ruined it for me.
hahah. I was thinking more of the whiplash at 1:11.
I guess I enjoy the use of rubato, even though it might be excessive for some I think the piece calls for it. It creates more of an emotional atmosphere for me.
sergio has been the one i'm listening to the most recently though as i prep to learn this. horowitz's version is very respectable but sergios so far is more in line with how i intend to play it. i'm quite confident i can give im a run for his money. i believe i posted a video of what i've learned of op 7 no 2 so far, check it out :)

Beautifully played, Henry! I love it, and I love you. Chopin would have loved you also, I suppose!
