Its much easier to use a macintosh keyboard and remap the frets to the 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 keys. Puts them at the edge of the keyboard so you can hit them and keeps all of them right next to each other. With a little ingenuity and some metal clips, you can also attatch a shoulder strap to the keyboard stand on the bottom.
