I don't understand... The 2012 civic's we get in america are so ugly! The interior dashboard which is so smoothly put together, the headlights (projector housing, HID bulbs.. They will never put those in the american civics. Honda America is ran by GOONS!
@sandkman109 thats because america has stricter laws which limit the way cars can be made, thats why all the german and japanese cars made by honda, nissan etc. are more powerful

It's pretty fucked up that we can't get the Civic in a hatch back in America. Europe and Asia always get the cool stuff and they only give us the stale old fucking dog shit!
For people complaining about the ugliness about the back of the new cars such as this one and the prius etc...the design eliminates the drag that slows the car down, by eliminating the drag you get better everything else :)
Outside looks much better in person. Besides, this car is all about interior. Quality is amazing, materials used as good as in Accord (european version) and driving position is perfect.

I would never buy it even for $ 5 000 if I had to drive it. I prefer older Honda's models. Honda's are my absolutely best cars but not this one! There must be something wrong with designers if so many cars with ugly back are on the market. People will have to look for real cars among those older models. SAD, VERY SAD.

the front looks like optimus prime from beast wars or dark veder from star wars. type R? confusing. i like the styling of the type R. this one looks ugly.
Hyundai Veloster is the way to go in the U.S. market.
