The term "pro" has to be earned; it is not something that u can make a claim for urself. Without the proper recognition from the greater community, the title "pro" is worthless. just out of curiosity, what did it copy exactly?

- Whip-based gameplay was there for decades ever since the first castlevania.

- Platforming exists for more than a decade in both 2d and 3d.

- fighting multiple enemies has been the basis of hack'n'slash genre for years.

Pretty much, there is nothing to copy from GOW.

@FeuerFremder The feeling of the weapons is pretty the same, the way he finished his ennemies with the QTE, when he use his whip like a grapple to jump on another plateforme etc. Not in substance but in form, It's obvious that they were inspired by GOW series. But yet, it looks very nice and I hope the game will be as good as the GOW ones.

man this game is basically riding off of GOW's success. the last scene where they had the statue lady. that clearly reminds me of a gameplay scene in GOW 3. even that mask looked like athena in the GOW series. either way game looks great and can't wait to play...

That trailer detailed some of the most impressive visuals I have ever seen in a video game in real time. Just because you cannot equate that poly count isn't what creates graphical brilliance.

This looks legendary, easily some of the best art direction and realtime visuals ever produced in the game industry.

My $600 PC can run crysis well, and the only people who call it a "benchmark" are retards who've never played it and like to make assumptions. Crysis happens to have some of the best and most innovative and most enjoyable FPS gameplay of any game I've played.

Also, you are familiar with the concept of a pre-rendered CGI cutscene, right? Because that's what this is. Not real-time. The art direction is nice, I'll give you that

Very little of it is pre-rendered.. im not gonna sit through it again and give you a play by play but the majority of the video is real time (and very easy to spot). $600 wont buy you a video card capable of running crysis 'well'.. but I guess our opinions differ on what 'well' is.

That would have been pretty cool if they just put that same amount of technical effort into actual Castlevania art direction. I'm all for fancy next-gen graphics, but the Castlevania name is pointless without Castlevania art direction. If I wanted grit, grey, and ugly, I could always just play every other western-made hack 'n slash. Without the title, I wouldn't even look at this game and think Castlevania. And the PS2 Castlevanias already showed the look can be done totally right in 3D.

@animapain24 Dude chill out. The fact is that the gameplay of this Castlevania is like 80% or maybe more copied on the God of War series, whether you like it or not. There are the QTE, the way he hits his ennemies etc. Plus, I thought the trailer was pretty cool, the graphics are nice, but I don't see that dark atmosphere which made the fame of the series. It looks more like heroic fantasy and even if it looks nice, that's not what I expect from a Castlevania game.

One of my first games was Castlevania 1 for NES, was amazing more amazing than Metroidvanias, actually my favorite is Super Castlevania IV, more than Syn-funny of the Night... And LoS reminds me the classics series that are more badass that those Metroidvanias, so suck it, you and your stupid God of War. I´ve pre-ordered this game. -1 to you sir. Wear it proud.

A platformer(insanelly hard one) with whip-based combat and badass european knight/barbarian going against the dark creatures inspired by 70s-90s horror movies. Oh and then there was the innovative use of the whip,. for both movement, puzzle solving and combat tricks.

now look at gow - hm, yep, pretty much same concept, but watered down. :P
