  • Nice one Dude but please get your speakers on some stands at ear level - they aint gonna sound right straight on the desk with the huge neko in between.

  • man this board is NICE!! its expensive as hell too! Just out of curiosity how much did you pay for yours? i am looking at a smaller version of the neko

  • Congrats on getting it 6 months ago.

  • Looks nice, though I'm afraid of producers who used to make a beat in 20 minutes...now they only need 5.

  • have u uploaded any keyboard sounds like fantom triton etc, to the neko yet?

  • Wouldn't it be financially better to buy a pc the software and midi controller?

  • not really!! one of the biggest selling points of the miko / neko "timbaland edition" is how many sounds that come with it. to not overload your p.c. you will need to get ...say, a "receptor v" to host all the vst's, then a controller, cables to connect them all, before long you have spent more then the cost of the miko/neko... the main draw... CONVENIECE.. ALL IN ONE!!!!

  • i dont agree, this is a glorified PC...just because it looks good doesnt mean its any better than a studio PC running all your software...its all about talent and no shiny new toy is gonna make you the next timbaland... but some of you seem think otherwise LOL

  • thats some real shit I wish cats realize that u don't have to have the latest shit if u got talent you can make hot shit with anything.

  • @beatsanctuary

the point of any open labs instrument is not to be better than anything.. nobody said its better than a pc and all your software and hardware but thats the problem... it cuts back on all the software and hardware you need... everything in one instrument

  • The Miko/Neko is a PC (just in a different shaped case) and most of the software is freeware. So yes it is more economical to buy a PC plus a controller. You will be able to run more VST's for less money than the cost of a Miko/Neko.

  • yes, this is a waste of money...

  • can i get pro tools and install on my neko tse?

  • Pro Tools will only work with certain audio interfaces, so it will not work with the presonus firebox on the Neko TSE, you would have to get an M-audio or digidesign interface.

  • mine is on the way!!!!!!!

  • had this piece of equipment for a month now and i tell you no sleep at all, im just now getting the whiole reaper recording program down. barely got through two of the 5 Timbo folders of sounds..u definitly do not need subs hooked up to this. best to run it with some flat line monitors clear quality deep sound...to answer a ? u can buy a accesss point usb for like 40 bucks to link up to airport express (for internet)if ur running Mac

  • yes you can! it's with windows XP

  • We got the NEKO TIMBALAND last week here in the Netherlands (Europe) - i think we are the first in the Netherlands and maybe the first in Europe with the NEKO TIMBALAND. We just started to explore everything, but it's a lot! (proud to be a part of the open labs famely!)

  • how come i cant hear anything i record? i can hear while i play... but i can never hear any product of what i just recorded? have any idea how to help me? i have the NEKO TSE with REAPER v2.203

  • Entropybeats want to watch porn on it lol jokx

  • im waiting for mine

ordered it over a month ago! from bh photo video and that shits on back order still wtf!

  • hey bro

wanted to know if you could go through some of those signiture sounds of timbalands on your miko and on reaper can you uses 3rd party vocal plug-ins on the audio tracks?

  • openlabs is for bling bling guys who want bling bling toys ...

  • Yo manz i also placed my order in two weeks ago..Hank from OpenLabs told me Timbo only approved 60 more to be made and thats it done dadda..well looks like we got our hands on a top tier limited edition set-up..peoples we will never need to buy another peace of equipment relating to this one..COMING SOON ~PhoeBus~

  • Very nice Indeed. I would love to have one of these. Hopefully you will post more videos

  • How much that run u man?

  • 4k700

  • wat up 22. mannn i cant wait to order mine. cant wait for u to post sum vids of u makin beats. tell me how the library is. and chea u got that Native instruments. i got atmosphere and battery. currently using FL but ah it'll do till then.

ALSO do u use protools or Reaper. I use protools also, how is reaper? is it good with midi? Thankx man

  • ...Chillin' the library is amazing! I added Batytery 3, Atmosphere, and Trilogy and I am creating some sick stuff (which will be posted soon). Regarding Reaper, Let me just say it is great you have to see it, plus you can bring whatever you do in reaper and use it in pro tools, cubase, etc...

  • I just placed my order! CHEA ha. Man, do you have reason? I downloaded reaper to get familiar wit it before my Miko comes and i can't figure out how to rewire with it...If you could put up a tutorial showing how to rewire, that'd be raw.

    Holla @ me

  • What Up! First, welcome to the war, now you will have the most killer production station. I never used Reaper before this and let me be very clear IT IS SICK!!! When you get your Neko get it on the internet and call openlabs. Their Tech Support will blow you away!!!! More Vids to come...Been out of town. - 2wenty2wo

  • Reaper is great! Sick with Midi and getting better every release.

  • Hey What's Up Man. I just had to reach out to someone that had one of these machines. I got mind about 2 weeks ago and I know it's gonna change mind life forever. It's crazy!!! Did you see the 5th Anniversary edition??? I think it's cool everyone want have the Neko TSE because they can afford the 5 G's which is a hugh advantage from a producers perspective!

    Keep Bangin' The Beats!!!

    Assault

  • Hey! I feel you, talk about life changing. I added Battery 3 (Native Instruments), Trilogy and Atmosphere (Spetrasonics) and I think my head is going to explode! So many sounds so little time!!! Am I crazy or is OpenLabs support the absolute sickest!!!

  • Nice! I was thinking about getting one too, maybe by the end of the summer. Thanks for posting videos. If you don't mind me asking, what part of Jersey are you from? I'm in central Jersey.

  • This thing is awesome and the Tech support is 100%. They dial right into your Neko and provide instruction and tech support.

I am in the Morristown Area

  • Planning myself to buy the timba edition! is it so cool as they say?

    gr.Ciaran (Amsterdam)

  • It's Way Better!!!
