Don't buy from puppy stores. I found out that Georgie is only part Chihuhua and I paid $1,000 for what they said was a purebred dog. I had a Dog DNA test done and he is not pure Chi, only from 34-74%. I am now suing the store for a refund. I love him and would never trade him, but they lied to me and overcharged me. I would try to find a good local breeder in your area. See the parent dogs and see if the dog can be AKC registered.
