  • now guys try not complaining about this pedal and start getting a better amp like this dude..

a 12W pratice amp isn't gonna get you anywhere!

  • OMG YOU GUITAR IS BEAUTIFUL

what kind of finish is that

  • danger3s advice about keeping the highs and lows down and pushing the mid is correct. If you try to dial it like a marshall (or any amp really) it's just all harsh thin highs. The EQ on this pedal is fk'd up.If you took an EQ it would be like running the 1.6 and 3.2 kHz controls all the way up!!

    HIGH control off to 11'oclock.

MID control at least 12 o'clock then higher to taste

BASS 1'oclock or less is good.

Change 1 or both tubes such as 12AX7+12AY7 or 2x12AT7

  • You really have the sound ! Is your Marshall a Vintage Modern ?

  • didn't know apple makes guitar cabs ;D

anyway, I'm so excited, just ordered my english muff'n and fuckin can't wait!

  • Great tone dude, I play a DSL100 with a TS9 for OD but your tone kicks the shit outta mine!

  • shat settings do you use on your amp and EHX english muff ?

  • You can't smoke inside because of yuppie fucks. You can't smoke outside because of yuppie fucks. You can't smoke anywhere but a casino and a bowling alley because of yuppie fucks.

And now, apparently, you can't post a Youtube video of yourself rocking Clapton without being accosted by a yuppie fuck whining about her damaged sensibilities.

From a non-smoker: go fuck yourself.

  • Couldn't have said it better.

  • Hahah. Nice Apple Marshall :D

  • Yeah those are the best kind!

  • Wowee an new limited Marshall cab?

    the Mac special edition right?

    lol im kidding:P

    kickass dude:)

    has a punk-rock fan;This is the shit!:)

  • either ur smoking or that is a very unhealthy amp;)

  • why do you say that?

  • Wow, great tone out of a JCM 2000!

The 2000 sounds really modern, but that Muff'n really made it sound aged. In a very good way.

  • its the istack.

  • dude you have some kit!

  • i may have to go get a muffin after hearing cream sound that good thru one

  • Man you're a fucking killer!!!

  • Ha, love the "apple" amp, but the "PC" amp blows it out of the water.

  • hells to the yeah

  • Guess the Linux amp gets both tones then some.

  • dude is it a sigarette or is smoke coming from your amp?? :P

  • that is an awesome guitar!!!

  • y do u hate it so much? i have a mxr 10 band eq that i really dont like lol

  • is that a jcm 800?

  • i think it's the jcm 2000

  • nah this pedal does everything lol. Its cool for a boost as well.

  • It sounds to shrill on the high end, I'm selling it and getting an MI Audio Crunch Box. It's way cheaper, and covers a wider variety of tones, from a JTM45 to a JCM800.I really recommend it.

  • is that pedal good for iron maiden tone?

  • ehm then youd better go for the boss ds 1 a more distortion pedal this is more for blues

like out the year 60 but you alawys can try it out in a music store.. xD

  • not a ds1 get a tubescreamer or bad monkey or somthing

  • ehm a bad monkey okey but a tube screamer for iron maiden that's like metal not blues.

  • he asked for an iron maiden tone. so a TS is fine..?

  • dunno i think the ds 1 is better

or the metal core the tube screamer is more blues..

  • Yes it is. I have a 12ay7 in the 1st stage, and a 12ax7 in the second stage. This makes the pedal sounds like a 70's cranked Marshall, just around a JCM800. If you put in 2 12ax7 tubes, this pedal will sound like great and Marshall sounding. I would get this if you love Iron Maiden.

  • Hey could you give me the settings, for you tone. I got an English Muff'n but cant find the sweet spot on it. I really dig you tone at the beggining

    Much appreciated.

  • hey there, try cranking up the vol, use mid gain, and increase the mids while keeping bass & treb low. Hope that helps

  • thanks a ton

  • I hate this pedal and I own it.

  • been there once. after a while i decided to give it another try, a few knob turns & massive noise polluting, the pedal instantly became my top favorite. i was so excited i even recorded & uploaded this video to youtube LOL

  • I play strats and single coil guitars,a nd at bedroom volumes, this pedal sounds very shrill and treble, for example- when I slide between frets there is an awful shrill squeal, but if I turn the treble down, the notes have less top end, but the shrill squeal remains. Idk I think I'm gonna sell it. Nice playing btw.

  • Very cool check out my crossroads solo im also playing through the English muff'n

    watch?v=bV63a_RacnM

  • this may be a stupid question, but how do you remove the original guitar track so you can jam along on your own? Thats great. Is it some simple music software?

  • i must buy that pedal

  • what song is that?

  • It's "Crossroads" by Cream. Eric Clapton playing the blues licks.

  • I know this is a long shot, but can anyone try this pedal out on a bass, and post a video of it. That would be great. Thanks.

  • Would this pedal sound good with a fender blues junior?

  • MARSHALL IS POWER.

  • it sounds good cuz it's plugged into a marshall, would it sound as good with a transistor fender?

  • Will your guitar sound as good? Obviously not, so no, the pedal wont sound near as good. Solid state is really rubbish compared to a high volume valve amp

  • Well, can't say that it would through a transistor based amp. But it sings through my '72 Twin Reverb.

  • i doubt it, i dont think marshalls sound great at low volumes like this. spend your money on a decent amp

  • Comment removed

  • In reply to tragictravistie....dude.... Not being nasty or anything but are you really sugesting that a decent amp sounds great at low volumes? All the great tones come from working the amp and speakers ..hard (fact)! Guess you missed the point of using a pedal for your overdrive. Look into this.. How many of your favourite albums have marshalls used in them?.... and then say you don't think the're decent amps?

    (Nice playing danger3s)

  • smokin's bad for your guitar! dries out the fingerboard ;)

  • kool

  • Holy crap, as soon as you turned that off, i realized how bland it was. Now that I've tried it (a bit) and heard that it's hard to resist.

  • LOL thanks for your comments!

  • i just saw your box, that apple logo's sweet!

  • i have that pedal too, sounds totally raw and kinda old! i love it, but it's not really fuzzy i think. nice playin'!

  • hey man thanks for the comment! fuzzy not as fuzzy pedal but more on the gainy fuzzy if you know what i mean. Probably more distinct if you boost the mid & treb and play on the neck. Sweet tone if you love that kinda thing but I'd prefer some bites here & there from bridge pickup

  • and it's got lots of bites!

i play it with a strat, english eq setting, you know, all knobs to 5 o'clock, but gain only at 9 o'clock. that's just a perfect setting for that pedal, sometimes i turn down the bass a little bit (3 o'clock), sounds even more biting. just a great pedal, and the sound you get from it is worth far more than the actual price.

  • yeap

  • Lovin' that sound. Is that standard tuning?
