In Soul Calibur IV, Tira kidnapped Sophitia's daughter, Pyrrha.

What confuses me is why she didn't bother to capture her son, Patroklos, as well, when she had the chance.

That is, unless, maybe she's planning ahead to use both children to manipulate Sophitia into thinking that Soul Edge is the only weapon alone that can save them.

If Sophitia thinks like that and continues to become Nightmare's slave in the next sequel, I'll never forgive Tira!

Also based on his portrayal in the teaser and that he and Phyrra had feuded over the shard of soul edge, I doubt he'll be a purely good character either. Phyrra will also be playable apparently. He is the new main. SC revolves around him and not Siegfried. He didn't feud over a shard of SE in no teaser. He did however in Cassandra's storyline. Pyrrha will be playable. Sophitia is said to be dead, but some things indicate that she might be the new base for Soul Edge. Seeing that SCE is a short sword as of SCV

I just don't think that Patroklos will be as important as people seem to think. Those are Sophitias kids. in the past games Sophitia gets a shard of soul edge into her body during a fight with nightmare. years later she has children, who are born with the evil scent of soul edge. Tira believes that, these children will make great hosts for soul edge, since nightmare's body can't control the power anymore, and puts the evil energy into them. it's a very twisted and long and complicated story, all the games storyline interrelate with one other.
