Omg this is so sad.. This is a skool which I'm pretty sure is okay at marching but seriusly next year why don't you guys do a difficult show. Have you seen Rancho? That's a very difficult show for a high school. Even though the drill and music arnt as clean as it can be I'm pretty sure these kids are working as hard as they can to maintain.

@MaplePwndUrMom Actually, this is one of those fieldshows that looks easy, but is actually somewhat hard since we have to focus a lot on the details. Also, we had a difficult show last year (spices, perfumes, and toxins) and none of us wanted to repeat that. It was a pain just getting through rehearsal last year. Some shows will be difficult and some shows won't. Rancho's was difficult and they did an exceptional job with it.

you can either say, "wow, what a shitty show, its difficult but theres so many little mistakes" or you can say, "wow that drill is not as hard, but that's a stellar performance." also, it's hard to write drill for 300+ people to move around in. and obviously, the crowd and the judges don't agree with you, because we kicked major butt this season.

that wasn't even our full show. we just finished our show and its gonna be even more awesome-er than b4! our next competitions are mt. carmel on Oct. 30, Chino the week after, then Arcadia Festival of Bands two weeks after that. come watch!

@HelloBeckysue Stay tuned. The music directors have added the Open-Line Percussion for future field shows(~15 more peeps), in addition to the normal World-Line drummers. Catch us at Mt Carmel HS Sat after next, or at Chino HS the following week. It is going to be awesome.

lol everyone calm down i never said you guys were band you guys are very good. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion and yes @derockn00 i saw it. No doubt Arcadia will improve and im not saying have a band that big is bad im just saying its funny and awesome to me when bands are so big that they are limited on space they can do visuals. Oh and the only thing annoying about having a band that big is waiting like 10 minuets for the band to walk by so you can go through :D

With the exception of last year, Arcadia usually adds body visuals and choreography as the season progresses, after the whole show's been learned. Relax kids, it's only October!

@lyokohero Before you judge what size bands are "laughable" or not, search up a Texas high school band (LD Bell for starters) and tell me that isn't impressive. I admit Arcadia's show this year isn't as visually appealing as last year's, but as you said, it was a relatively clean performance. There were quite a few apparent interval and phasing issues, but nothing that can't be addressed. As for music, I concede that there is room for improvement, but keep in mind this is their FIRST competition

@lyokohero Hard to judge volume on a video but anyone that's seen this band live will tell you their problem usually isn't playing too softly but rather playing too loud!

@lyokohero it's cause we're a traditional band, that's why we don't do too much of body visuals (and still wear white shoes), instead we focus on the more fundamentals of a marching band, like actually moving our feet and marching

@Jindynasty92: The white shoes plus the red trousers against the black asphalt or green field, will make it easier for people/judges to see if you are out of step or phase. When you are wearing black shoes and dark trousers, it makes it more difficult to disconcern whether you are out of step/phase.
