  • Darn, this is nice. this is EXCELLENT!!

  • Very clear lecture. Nice!

  • He's so painful to listen too

Talks very fast, stumbles through his explanations many times...

    Bring back Grisham.

  • Many professors find teaching undergrads, relative to their research, to be a pain in the ass, something they have to get out of the way. But he's just kidding about to break the ice, like another poster mentioned

  • Hes just messing about to break the ice you nonce

  • At least he should invest some time learning how to express himself trough language. Like Prof, Grisham.

  • at least hes teaching, we need more teachers in this world... the reason he's a good teacher is the same reason he'd rather be at a science meeting, than teaching, his passion for science, but the fact is he does teach, people are allowed their pleasures, who r u to be so critical? are u a university professor?

  • @Cannabinoidl

Your argument is not valid. Saying that we don't have enough teachers is a cop out - the teachers need to be good in order to justify their existence - especially at an elite university like UCLA.

It would be pretty stupid to justify hiring a bunch of doctors who never went to medical school simply because we "need more doctors."

Furthermore, even if he DOES prefer to attend a science meeting, he discourages his students from attending class by explicitly stating that.

  • Why would he say he drew the "short straw"? That's offensive to all the students who decided to take the class. If he hates teaching so much, he shouldn't be a professor.
