Does anyone have more info on Pete Sampras' and the Williams Sisters relationship? Early in their careers, Venus and Serena always claimed that Pete was their idol, etc.

But then in the mid 2000s, I read that Pete replied to a comment (referencing Venus' service motion was similar to his)...he said it was an insult.

Ever since then you haven't heard WS claim Pete as their hero, though they have always said good things about him. But then again, I guess they became legends as well.

OMG! I thought it was just me and my mom who thought Men's tennis was WAAAAAAY more boring than the women's.... in the women's game you had attitude... sometimes you'd have drama. Nothing like female drama.

But AT THE TIME men's tennis was pretty boring to me.. ESPECIALLY compared to nowadays. I was SO glad to FINALLY get into men's tennis when Roger started being a big star and Nadal came into the game.

@djalternegro i have the same arguement. I saw John McEnroe playing doubles at Wimbledon on an outside court, he was real, real nasty to a linesman. It was bullying. He is a hero.
