I use a blackhea extractor and its fine. Heres what I do: Wash the ''infected'' are with a face wash. Exfoliate. Put a warm wash cloth over it to steam. Then extract with my extractor. Its really easy and I got a good extractor from Sephora that works really well! :)

I did the whole face prepping procedure for a few years and I even used masks and moisturisers, after shave, special shaving gels and even those nose strips.

It was all a huge waste of time and money, now I just use ordinary soap and cheap shaving cream and my skin is fine and if I get a pimple I don't even think about it.

@DefyingNoodles prettymuch the only necessary product she used was some kindof alcohol to sterilise the area. She used a wipe, but whatever, you can just use a soaked cotton ball.

When i was a youth i occasionally used to use it on acne areas of my skin and it helped clear things up, i honestly think it mostly helped avoid REinfections.

Think of it like medical surgery, you make sure it's all sterilised, you're trying to eliminate the infection.

Those sponges are not loofahs & are rather soft on the skin, standard sponges most estheticians use. The gloves are worn to NOT spread infection, especially bacteria that hides under your nails, to the skin of the client. The stretch & roll technique works well but what they fail to tell you is you can use a lancet to gently poke into the side of the blocked follicle to give the sebum a place to escape from when the head of the comodone is blocked. a good facial steam treatment for home is to boil water then add a few drops of tea tree oil to the water.......let water cool down then hold a towel over the head and pot for about ten mins........(being careful to not get too close to the pot)......after ten mins or so you can then do your extractions......most drug stores now carry extraction tools so you don't have to pick with your fingertips, always alcohol extraction tool before and after you use it.......follow with a good toner
