  • @XtremeDance10

I am not an expert therefore could not comment on your views.

However this vid is taken from professional. If the truth be known I took this video in Brasil from a club called Macumba in Recife. Why would Brasilians import amatuers??

  • This is just phenomenal and beautiful!

  • @Veemosteph

Thank you my friend, It is clear you have excellent taste!!

  • @barriocubalindo lol! Why thank you! :)

  • I am not an expert in dance, but am pretty well versed in Music.

Tango has changed in music, while we admire the works of Gardiel and others, we now have different styles, completely different styles of Tango music, such as

The Gaton project,Tangeurro, Bajo Fundo E-tango Club and more!! So if Music changes and so it should!!

Why should Dance Not Change as well?

  • I agree the tango in Australia sucks, it got bastardized by gringos. They should at least play authentic traditional music rather than modern pop or piazolla music. They try to hard to be sexy and do too many kicks and stuff to make it showy but it loses the whole feeling for the dance. The TV shows do Argentine Tango a big disservice.

  • Yes I agree,

What really irked me is when they have this dance shows. They don't even play the original music. They have Salsa with a used US pop singer singing in English a supposed Salsa song. Or having semi rock as Tango. They don't have a clue do they.

  • They like to take the sexy/showing off from the dance, but they cut off the soul of the tango which is part of the Argentinian culture. How can they understand the dance when they deny the people and culture. It's like their way of cleaning it up and stealing ownership so they look like the best ones at doing it. Unfortunately for them there's no way of dancing Argentine tango without accepting love for Argentina. One thing i never understand about them is how they dance without the heart.

  • I agree with you. I love Argentina and know it well, even its sad times under the generals, was there when I was a student. Yes to understand Tango is just one part of the puzzle in understanding Argentinians culture, which is very rich-mui rico verdad. For me I love Argentina for all it represents except-Yankee meddling, terror in the past. Today Argentina is Free, unlike Chile-Let Argentina be free from American imperialism forever.

    Viva Evita.

  • @frogshine

    I love Argentina!

  • Your right.

You might as well have the dancers on OZ TV wearing thongs. As we all know-we cant dance Tango in thongs.

    LOL

  • agreed, tango on aussie tv is absolutely disastrous. this is gorgeous, on such a small stage as well!

  • Have you read all his books. Argentine culture is great. What is third world culture is Menen selling off your railways and airlines as well to private enterprise. That is a third world mentality.

  • Capeverdian, Milonga is the answer it was created so I am told by the combination of black, white Cuban immigrants and poor white unemployed Gauchos who in the turn of century had no work but to do petty crime in BA during the time of Argentine industrialization. It was the original tango I beleive created in the whorehouses of BA.

  • My good friend, what you write never happened, never took place, and in the 21st century we have stopped spreading such unkind tales about the citizens of Buenos Aires in the 19th century. Back then, there was a city and a society that reflected the splendor of Paris and the old continent.

  • Its history my friend read the books of Eduardo Galeano, who wrote "The open veins of Latin American", The book Hugo Chavez gave to Obama. We should not argue, I adore and love Argentina and know it well. But please do not deny history for that is a fascist crime which has no place in South America

  • Galeano never wrote that the tango was created in the whorehouses of Buenos Aires. You did.

At the turn of the century crime was not perpetrated by Gauchos but for criminals.

Nothing to do with the gratuitously cheapening of the Argentine culture with tall tales and misconceptions.

It's a shame that a third world mentality prevents you from engaging in respectful debate. Hurling names and epithets paint a very negative image of who you might be as a person.

  • frickin hott!
