@LizetteLizard that is your dad? :) i spent some time with them in summer 1991 in Waukegan IL (USA) they would probably not ever remember me, but they did have such an impact on my life and my relationship with God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. I had never heard such awesome Christian music, this was the first Christian band I could stand lol
Jet Circus/Step on it-great songs! Leviticus/Setting fire to the earth; Terry H on vocals and Ez Gomer' on Bass= One great, memorable, underrated, underheard project. These two guys rule in my book. Thank you guys.
i still have this album. havent listened to it in a long time. brings back memories. I remember back in the day they had some kind of contest featured in heaven'smetal mag where jet circus was giving away a motorcycle. a harley i think. I would have liked to have won.
Terry Haw's voice is unreal. Too bad he & Ez couldn't work it out to keep working together under the Jet Circus moniker, because his vocals were part of what made "Step On It" so great!
These two are fantastic musicians, you all have to hear them when they were in ''Leviticus", MEMORABLE!!!(understated!) "Setting fire to the earth"(one of my prize possesions!) WOW!!! Step on it was/is a great project.
Wow! i bought the CD to Step On It when it was forst released back in 1990 i think it was and i have seen alot of christian metal music videos from different bands but i never knew Jet Circus made one for Victory Dance. this is the first time i've seen it and it's awesome. I'm not much into christian metal like i once was when i was a Teen (i'm almost 40 now) but i still play the classics on occasion. thanks for posting this dude. you rock!
i saw em live at cornerstone 1991 here in america...i always told everyone, "IF U COULD PLUG A GUITAR INTO A HARLEY, WHAT WOULD IT SOUND LIKE...JET CIRCUS!" awesome awesome awesome
The bar scene was not that appealing because it sends a message that, "If heaven and Christians is not all that different, why should I change." With that aside, I sure miss hearing their music. Their kind in my book was like ahead of the current trends of what you called "rock" back in the early 90's. It is a shame that they had not produced more music. Makes me want to dig out their "Step On It" (the only one I have) and convert the tape to CD so I can take it to work. Awesome music.
I suspected that Jet Circus made a video at some point, but I never saw it on any Christian music video shows. I think the "biker bar" approach was probably not conducive to get it on Christian shows.
The unique guitar distortion sound and vocal style of Jet Circus still separates their work from practically any other band I can think of. If I would call them anything, it would be "original."
